move would be to trade Brissett for a 2nd round pick and keep Garoppolo for 2017, franchise Jimmy in 2018 and then decide what to do with him in 2019 when Brady is 42.
Only problem is that no one is trading a 2nd round pick for Brissett, why would they?
Teams get desperate for QB's and do desperate things. They probably wouldn't trade a 2nd, but who knows.
I've said this before and I don't mean it to be douchy but most (many?) football coaches/GM's are not the brightest people in the world and often get taken advantage of by those in their profession who are in fact smart.
And while Brissett didn't look good, he went from 3rd string rookie to starting week 3 of his NFL career.
Kill the giant by feeding it more high draft picks that make the giant bigger for more years, for a guy that fit a system and talent for 3 games, that the potential trade team doesnt have, nor a coach likewise.

F'n PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!
is the best at maximizing talent and putting players in the best position to succeed. Yet, teams think they will be able to get the same production out of them. It's either foolishness or ego.
Eli Manning to Browns to bring them respectability and a name
Garrapolo to Giants with Pats 5th rounder
1st and 3rd Round Pick to Pats from Browns
Giants swap Eli for a younger and cost controlled Garappolo and pick up a 5th
Browns get a 2x Super Bowl MVP Hall of Fame QB with 2 or 3 years left to get them some immediate respectability and stop 20 years of futility.
Pats get a 1st and a 3rd to keep that train rolling.
I wish- would make so much sense for all involved.
I thought you were just being a little obtuse about this before, but clearly I underestimated.
They can't trade Eli. Full NTC. Accept it. You aren't getting rid of him, one way or another, at least until next offseason, when they still will have to eat a good amount of money to cut him or, much much more likely, for a couple more years, when most or all of his deal is up.
Is this a serious post? 75% of the site loves Eli to a fault and the Belichick ball washing on here is over the top (like 99% of the site love Belichick).
A college QB has never actually played the Position. A guy who has played a handful of games has never played a season---and a guy who plays a season hasn't played 2-3-4 seasons....and that's when you really start to know if you have one.
They used to scout guys by asking "Can he make ALL THE THROWS?" Now, he has to outwork everyone Physically and Mentally....deal with tremendous scrutiny and physical punishment..... Get INTO the right plays and OUT OF the wrong plays. Lead Men.... Be the Face of the Franchise... and, YES...MAKE ALL THE THROWS.
So....you've got as good or better shot with Jim G as anyone in college---maybe better---if you think you've seen IT in him. At least he's played the position a few times! Why Not?
If true, the team that pulls the trigger is fucking dumb. How many of Tom Brady's backups have turned into a franchise QB? Answer: None.
Yet, amazingly enough, teams seem to trip over themselves to get these guys. Garoppolo has a better chance at being another Ryan Mallet than being anything worthy of what he'll be traded for.

Might have to throw in Adrien Robinson to haul the great Jimmy G.
At least the Eagles are getting picks for scrub QBs anymore....

Nope.

Congratulations by far the worst post of the Off-Season.
You must be proud!
