Well it's like Jae Crowder again IMo. People are shitting on phil for not taking him in the Chandler deal but he never crossed 34% shooting until this year. He was shooting around 31% in dallas up to that point. I think Anderson is 100% that type of player. Do I think Philly lost that trade at this moment? Yes. Do I think they got peanuts for him? No. Anderson is playing behind Wesley Matthews and Harrison Barnes so there's reason why he's not getting more PT. He's more than just a 3 point shooter who can't shoot just yet at the NBA level. If he becomes even a league average 3 point shooter Philly has their starting SG spot set for the next 10 years.

He had an insanely cold stretch earlier in the season where he went 0-14 on 3s over a four game span. Take those four games out and he's at 34% for the season. love picks as much as the next guy but I think Ainge is making a mistake if he ends up passing on George or Butler because the 2017 pick. I was hoping when dallas was calling for KOQ they'd put Anderson on the table. But clearly they didn't have to give up that much more to get Noel.

Anderson has his warts, but Carlisle gives Dorian Finney-Smith more minutes than him. Smith is fucking awful. Anderson is a far superior player.

I guess interesting in the context of the draft, but no one here is terribly surprised. Teams arent playing two traditional bigs anymore. You play one big, and one stretch 4, unless you're lucky enough to have a good outside shooting big who can defend stretch 4s.

If you're a big, you better shoot 3s or protect the rim. The days of 10-10 power forwards seem over for now.

my concern is an overpay in $$ or trade assets. I think we should be in full rebuild, so I'd happily play a rookie and let the chips fall.
