I was just reading an article on NFL.com that said he wanted out of DC and that there was better than 50 50 odds he ends up with the 49ers.
Cousins is a good QB and that position is paramount in this league. Who would the Skins replace him with? The 49ers have the second ovreally pick and I don't see them giving that up for Cousins so there goes Kizer, Trubisky, and possibly Watson.
Just an odd turn of events.
I forget what happened but I think he wanted along term deal with Washington but they chose to tag him to see if he could do it again. He did and now he flipped the script on them. I kind of like it. You see teams have the advantage all the time. Cousins with a bit of luck has played his hand perfectly.
My ass.
Danny Boy is the Giants best friend. He is a complete eff up, close to Dolan in futility and ineptness.

If that's true then it's hilarious and put's this little clip into better perspective.
How you like me now!? - ( New Window )
RGIII to Dallas as a backup.
Romo to D.C.
Not one team has a winning record this year.
Book it

The Cowboys are going to have a losing record next season?
I doubt it.
Good luck Washington (not really). To the DC BBIers - how are the Washington fans reacting?
RG3 to Dallas would be a pipe dream but great.
Possibly but Romo may not even make it through 1 entire game. He's literally a glass man now.
Imagine if we traded Eli to the Eagles for a 1st round pick and he whooped our ass? Fan base would revolt.
My guess is Romo to Jets as the carousel goes around Romo is going to be left with being a backup somewhere or starting for gang green.
His play last year was fine, and was good enough to earn a big payday for a starting QB. When guys like Flacco and Osweiler are getting around 40 million guaranteed, Cousins is going to feel like he's not being fairly compensated.
The skins have a few options, none of them are good, and the fact they don't have a clear replacement doesn't help.
If they franchise him again and he stays for the year they would have paid him 43M for 2 years guaranteed. 2 years ago they could have given him 5-80M contract with 43M guaranteed and be done with it.
If franchised, the 2 years guaranteed money is more than every other QB total guarantee except Rodgers, Luck & Flacco.
He has them by the balls - more power to him
That is a problem that isn't mentioned often enough. Jackson and Garcon are likely both gone. Doctson missed his entire rookie season. Reed is one more concussion away from not remembering his zip code. Their running game is pedestrian. Their defense is poor. They really need a lot of help. This could be another reason Cousins wants to leave, although I think it's more that he doesn't believe that management treated him fairly last off season.
Some of their FO apparently believes that McCoy is a more than adequate replacement, at least until they can find a permanent successor, which I assume would be a draft pick or Sudfeld. That all seems pretty unrealistic. The Redskins haven't had a QB in 20 years before Cousins, and they may well have to watch him go out the door.
Not a bad QB, not a great QB - an OK QB. I don't know if Cousins is that, but I do think he has not shown he can perform when the level of competition gets turned up or the stakes are high.
They have Crowder.
Skins screwed up by not signing him last year.
Anyone who hi is this kid Ian worth 23 million a year is a moron. Let him
Go for
Picks and cut your losses
They sign him they don't have any WRs
And their D sucks still.
