a potential star. As Dan said, his numbers weren't THAT impressive for AA anyway.
It would have to be the right decision for him and the Mets, and it sounds like financially it never will be the right decision until post Super 2 cut off.
And Rosario was 20 in AA this past year, not sure if that changes the impressiveness. batting .341 (SSS acknowledged) in AA at 20 years old with an .874 OPS sounds impressive.
In either case my goal for this year would be take advantage of the healthy rotation and instead of worrying about paying Rosario in 2022 or 2023 I'd worry about the first 10 - 12 weeks of 2017 and make my decision that way.
Win the division, not the wild card, and I'd be making roster decisions that way.
More Dave Dombrowski less conservativism - not reckless, but urgent is a word I'd use.
.874 OPS with a .433 BABIP and that still "only" ranked 8th in the league in OPS and obviously the OBP was inflated by the ridiculous BABIP.
Right, but he's 21 years old (all season). Normalize the BABIP, and allow improvement for age.
with a single. 2-2. Not hating at all but the issue has been TDA's long swing, Kyle Kendrick top off at 90 mph. Good velocity SP is something to look for this spring vs. TDA. Obviously 2-2 is 2-2.
Maybe second half but to start the season they are likely going to baby him so things like back to back or multiple times per week aren't really an option which is what a reliever would need to do.

Yeah I wouldn't expect it soon. Was thinking late in the year actually if he performs well across multiple levels and there's a need.
Anthony DiComo ✔ @AnthonyDiComo
Marcos Molina just carved up Andrew Benintendi, Hanley Ramirez and Jackie Bradley Jr. in order. Two perfect innings for the Mets prospect.

A stud prospect, a top MLB hitter and a guy sort of in-between those 2 labels lol
