Dante Barnett-S, Kansas State

bigblue12 : 2/24/2017 11:41 am
I was watching some footage of the Stanford-Kansas State game to watch Christian McCaffery a bit and noticed #22 on the other team all over the field. I looked him up and he is eligible for this draft, but not invited to the combine. Safety is not a big need, but he seems as if he would be a really nice complimentary player and probably will be a great special teamer. Reminds me of Michael Johnson who was on the 2007 team. Really good tackler and not afraid of contact. Just someone to keep an eye on in the late rounds or FA.

How are the ball skills

because he's probably a good 10-15 lbs away from playing SS in the NFL.
Like I said

I don't think he is more than a rotation guy and a core special teamer, but he was pretty impressive from what I saw. In another highlight reel on youtube I saw a few INT's
I think safety

is a big need....Adams is not the answer, and until Thompson shows he can stay on the field, his durability is in question...Berhe and the other Thompson, who has no experience, are basically camp fodder...
Besides a couple obvious run fills into open gaps

I am not seeing anything close to a guy all over the field. I see a guy late to the ball in flats support, not overly aggressive or physical.
