NFT: David Wilson is the man

UConn4523 : 2/25/2017 11:24 am
I don't do social media much but saw that he's agreed to follow every kid who posts their honor roll grades by giving them a shout out on his Instagram page. A small, feel good story from a guy who is awesome to root for on and off the field.

that's an incredibly nice gesture. Feel horrible saying, but just not sure how many kids are gonna care that much given...you know.

Ya REALLY wish it had worked out for him.

Hopefully there's some other athletes or celebs that will follow his lead. I think it's a great idea

If it makes just 1 kid try a little harder isn't it worth it?

12 year old sons favorite player when he started watching. He got straight A's and just sent a pictur to Wilson. Very cool of him to do this. Seems like a great kid. Too bad his career was cut short.
Yup it's too bad about Wilson

Given his character and work ethic if he didn't have the spinal issue I'm certain he would have improved the necessary parts of his game and been a standout performer for us. Love his positive attitude and the contributions he's making after football.
We Feel Bad For Him But...

He was paid like a #1 draft choice and got to play in the NFL for two years. And he likely got out before he suffered any life-long, debilitating injuries.

Fast forward about 30 years from now and you're much more likely to feel bad for the other RBs in that draft who had longer careers and ended up paying the same price that many other NFL players have.
