NFT: Billions question ( spoilers)

mitch300 : 3/13/2017 10:34 am
Am I the only one who thought it was far fetched that Chuck had to sell his books? He has money, his dad is loaded. Even if they get a divorce he would get half of his wife's earnings.( She was given a 5 million dollar check from Axe as she left).
None of that helps him in the current real-time moment

where she's told him to go rent an apt, and he's cash starved.
His money is in trust

which becomes a legal/ethical hurdle, to boot.
If he used part of the $5m

And they prove it was a bribe (or Ax testifies) he is more at risk.
the one thing I found

surprising if not unbelievable is how little a senior US district attorney makes.

I mean it seems a stretch to me that he couldn't find a studio somewhere on his salary. he's got to make 200k I'd figure which might not be a ton in NYC, but it's enough for a studio.

Or I'm way off and even someone as senior as Chuck Rhoades makes peanuts.
no they make 200k,

but then go into private practice and make millions
In and of itself, it isn't crazy that he might have to sell something

if he has to pay for himself. But, a couple like that doesn't have money in the bank for him to rent an apartment?

This season, so far, I find disappointing.
And nobody seemed to mention here

the episode from last week where Tisch was his douchey self and the glorious MetLife stadium was on display.

That's my point. PLus he can ask his Dad for some help without touching the trust fund.

It was my favorite last season. This season has left me a little disappointed so far.
