Same lineup as last night. Raanta is in net again.

Clendening sits again. Pirri also out as is Puempel.

Hard to get on AV for playing Glass over these guys i guess, but someone has got to explain this Clendening situation vs Stampfer (who sucks) to me.

And with the playoffs and WC-1 just about locked down, why would you roll the same lineup tonight on a back to back as you did the night before? Surely someone could use a breather. I just dont get it.
Im not laughing at Callahan

All but one on even strength ...
yeah....
MetsAreBack : 3/13/2017 8:42 pm : link
that one was short-handed.

He does have 4 empty netters but as long suffering Rangers fans when it comes to putting games away late over the years, I'm not discounting that in the slightest.

And yet the Pens dont miss a beat regardless with all their injuries. The Caps 4 game losing streak has created a fun little race in the Metro.
Can't say we didn't

have our chances in this one.
Amazing how often we lose in regulation

when dominating the puck possession and shots .. and steal games vice versa. That's hockey i guess but geez.

Did we dominate anything though? Honest question. I was at the game, and was catching up with a cousin who I haven't seen in a while. So my attention level was lousy. But I thought the rangers looked like shit.
Could be worse..
arcarsenal : 3/13/2017 10:00 pm : link
We could be the Islanders.. the Canes have 8 goals and there's still 5 min left.
Dominated in the
Stufftherun : 3/13/2017 10:07 pm : link
faceoff circle which usually translates into puck possession time and out shot them by a wide margin. Had plenty of quality scoring chances and I thought we carried the play through the better part of the game. The 3rd was far from a thing of beauty but Tampon Bay played defensive minded and waited for their opportunity.
Thanks, Stuff

Just looked at the shot diff, wouldn't have guessed it was that high.

Just one man's perspective but honestly, it was there for the taking.
Has Anak won a game this season?

Well its been an uninspiring stretch of play
MetsAreBack : 3/14/2017 12:13 pm : link
but between where we sit in the standings and this crazy stupid schedule lately, cant say i blame the players here.

Last monday/tuesday back-to-back... sunday night (in midwest)/last night... now 3 days off, Friday/Saturday (incl long ride to Minnesota)... 2 days off... Tuesday/Wednesday... 2 days off... Saturday/Sunday

WTF, who came up with this shit?

So 6-6 or 5-7

Is the sweet spot. Ok. I'm good with that.
The chart seems
bigbluehoya : 3/14/2017 10:35 pm : link
To suggest that MTL is considered roughly 2/3 to win the division vs Ottawa at roughly a third. Based on the current standings that seems a bit heavy. Montreal has a 1 point lead but Ott has 2 games in hand. Looks like they have a home and home coming up this weekend which could sway things heavily.

What I take away from the chart is that barring a huge run or a total collapse, first round fate depends on how MTL and OTT play the rest of the way.
