Visiting Nashville this week.Any recommendations for restaurants and pubs with good country music will be appreciated by the Hilary family
Go to Broadway. Thank me later.

Acme Feed & Seed has a rooftop bar right across Cumberland River (?) where you can see Nissan Field. If you hit it on the right night, it's amazing. I also love rooftop bars so I'm biased.
Just had our company sales meeting

last week. Whiskey Bent was one of the places we went to, a giant dive if you are into that. We took a private tour of the Ryman Auditorium which was pretty cool, we had dinner on stage after with a private show from a singer/songwriter who does work with Carrie Underwood.

Was there for a conference for work last week, and there are plenty of places on broadway. Was recommended to me by a former "local"

- Hattie B's for Hot Chicken (Fried chicken with cayenne oil)
- Arnold's for "meat and 3" (cafeteria style food and three sides. Delicious southern food only available Monday-Friday.
- Patterson House- great "speakeasy" type place with fantastic cocktails.
- Pharmacy for great burgers and fries
- Acme Feed and Seed for music and great food

Monell's

I even asked for recommendations a few years ago...search the archived threads and comments for Nashville and you will find several posts...

Do not miss Jacks BBQ!

It's not the most impressive looking place, cafeteria style, but it is the best BBQ in town. Also like Bakersfield for tacos and a great selection of beers on tap. If you want something a little nicer, Merchants is a terrific upscale restaurant. All are located downtown.

For music, just walk along Broadway and 2nd Ave, pop your head in to see who sounds good. So many music clubs to choose from. Have fun!
And don't miss the Country Hall of Fame.

Get on Broadway and stick your nose and ears in places.
if you have the time for a side trip...
Mike in St. Louis : 3/14/2017 3:03 pm : link
especially if you are with the wife and family, take a ride to Franklin...a nice little small town around the town square...nice shopping and restaurants...
incidentally, the Nashville TV show
santacruzom : 3/14/2017 3:06 pm : link
has undergone a dramatic upgrade in quality. I'm totally serious.
