Carpenter had been great until last year, when he was kind of a disaster.
Folk and Carpenter may both be considered b/c both have experience kicking outdoors.
I was just going by one of the beat writers who had a tweet in the past couple days that mentioned Rosas, but also suggested Zuerlein and Carpenter as veteran options.
Do the Giants really like Rosas as a legitimate option for the kicking job? I like this kid a lot and feel like he could be our kicker for the next decade. I hope they don't bring in a veteran like Carpenter and keep him over Rosas if Rosas outperforms him.
I watch the Bills a lot because my wife is a Bills fan from western New York.
NOBODY has missed more extra points in the last few years than Carpenter. He's also missed some very important field goals. And you never know when he's going to screw up a kick-off either.
The Bills should have cut him at this time last year but did not do it and they regretted it. This year they finally did it.
I'd rather take a chance with a rookie than sign Carpenter. He is not an NFL quality kicker.
It was clear that Aldrick’s kicking ability was up there at an elite level.Craig Howard continued his high praise, with a comparison to another elite kicker he coached.
“I’ve coached Jeff Chandler, who kicked for the San Francisco 49ers… Chandler was the all-time leading scorer in Florida Gators history… Aldrick Rosas is a lot better kicker than the guy that I knew, I coached, that become the all-time leading scorer in Florida, went to the 49ers, then the Washington Redskins. This guy’s got a bright future, you know.”
Folk too.
What kind of leg? Accuracy?
