NFT: Nordictrack vs Peloton

jimvinct : 3/14/2017 8:11 pm
Anyone here have either one? I'm looking for some feedback. We're considering the x22i incline trainer from nordictrack to double as a treadmill, or the Peloton because it's easier on the knees than running. After some quick research it is clear both require a monthly charge for training classes. This is a nice feature but kind of a turn off after spending the money on the machine itself. Are the classes worth it? How's the build quality? Any info is appreciated.
as far as commericals, Peleton has Nordic beat.

The woman in the Peleton add has an incredible ass.
I have nothing to add

But it does seem like Peolton is catering to the trophy wives of hedge fund managers.

is to get the one you can see yourself using more. It's not about which machine is better-- it's which workout can you commit to more: the cross-country skiing and running, or cycling.
there is a Peleton store in the short hills mall. I visited and here

is price breakdown for their package deal.
$1995.00 for bike. They deliver and setup
$100.00 for shoes. The shoes are custom to the pedal to deliver a better workout for the muscles.

$35.00 a month for year of classes is madatory. after that you get four standard workout classes you can use anytime. They give you one month free if you purchase classes upfront.

hope that helps

the Peloton machine is high quality

but the monthly subscription was a real turn off for me.

for much less you can buy a Wahoo Kickr and connect your road bike to it. And if you don't have a road bike you can get one for the price difference.

There are plenty of free internet connected apps for trainers like Wahoo.
Have been using the Peloton for a few months now

And I love it. Happy to answer any questions. It is no doubt expensive but really matters what you compare it to. Soul Cycle is expensive as well. I agree with the initial reaponder and to go with what you will use more because that is really the most important aspect.
