but heard on some show recently that Clemson is pretty well-known to have a "fast track." I have no idea if that's accurate, just throwing it out there into the ether.
comparison at all...Green was a fluid route runner and extremely athletic. Williams is more of a physical go up and get the ball type, and can win the 1 on 1 battle.
somehow. Marshall will only be on the team for a year or two. Plus it's depth for when the inevitable injuries happen. Williams is going to be very good. He'd work well with Eli. It would be another Eli to Plax kind of connection.
Of last year where more than. A few people insisted Treadwell should be the pick last year. No thanks. There will be better players at positions of greater need 23. Doesn't mean he's not going to be a good pro. But w the needs at TE, LB, and OL there almost certainly be a guy there just as good at those positions. Heck I'd take a CB before a WR w DRCs age and history of being banged up all the time
WRs are a dime a dozen
Mike Williams was always going to go in the Top 15 imo...
Just meant that he isn't on our radar, due to no way he is making it to pick #23. And no way Reese would be trading up in the first round for another WR. Which may be our most solidified position on the roster now.
On talent alone, of course Giants would be interested.
How nice would that have been.
Artavis Scott ran the same thing as Williams did today. He ran a 4.61 at the combine. So there times are probably very similar.
With all the talent there? I wouldn't be shocked if both Reese and Ross were there with a contingent of scouts.
Which is why the OL sucks. The LBs are utterly average at best and TE is thin thin thin. All he does is draft WRs high. Every year. Year after year.
I don't think we'd take him. Other surer things at need positions with similar talent levels.
