I would like to see the Giants go young at kicker and let Rosas and a rookie free agent fight for the job. If neither earns it the Giants can always sign a veteran later in camp.
Seems to be a good kicker that shakes loose. I just think there is an over abundance of good kickers these days.
Agreed, Aguayo would have to have a horrific training camp and preseason for the Bucs to cut him. They used a 2nd round pick on him last year and it would look even worse if he is cut after only one year. If Rosas or another young kicker struggles then Folk will likely be available after training camp.
He's just being used to push Aguayo, let the Bucs pay his preseason accommodations while the Giants try out young legs. Folk was my choice for obvious reasons, he's got a big leg and he knows the wind and other nuances of Met Life. Alternatively I'm all for using the seventh round pick on a kicker. Gonzales is the top rated kicker but he's use to kicking in the desert. Elliot from Memphis and Phillips from Utah are the next highest rated.

Utah had a lot of desert too.
Thanks for the geography lesson genius. For everyone else the point was understood, SLC has cold football weather similar to the Northeast. The average temperature in November is in the 40's and in December is in the 30's. Hell it's cold enough there to have a Winter Olympics, oh wait. During those same months the average temperature in Tempe is in the high 70's. Not sure if you were trying to be cute or your a genuine idiot.
I was just trying to find out if you could take a joke.
