...because I am hunkered down on a cold, wet NY day, I did a count of the number of players by position that NFL.com has assigned a Top 50 Grade. You'll notice that the total count is 62 players, since there are several players with same grade.
A Top 50 cut-off is of course arbitrary, but anyhow... no real surprises here. There is a shocking number of Top 50 secondary players -- 9 CBs and 7 Safeties. That's gotta be some kinda record. DE at 9 looks pretty rich as well.
In the end it will all boil down to Reese's draft acumen, but on the surface this is not a Top 50 player draft that necessarily aligns with our needs.

I could see them going for Dion Dawkins in the 2nd.
...sign me up. I'd put him in Ereck Flowers' slot and, if that doesn't work out, Dawkins can move inside!
Really like this guy!
The early rounds don't match our needs ideally, but there are a ton of RBs deep into the draft, an opportunity to get DRC's eventual replacement, some later round QBs who could pan out, and a bunch of edge rushers. We should do OK.
150 players with a grade of 5 or better is very impressive

I think Lamp would be worth it at 23, perhaps Robinson as well. All depends on who else is on the board. I'd rather they take one of them than, say, Zach Cunningham.
