It ended when the injury bug bit him last season but nothing requiring surgery. His body probably needed a breather so to speak. Which it got last season. As a penetrator and pass rusher his career stats improve upon Hankins significantly.

Had a decent year in '15. Shoulder problems last year.
Shoulder injury put him on IR after six games in 2016, and after starting all 16 games he year before.
Especially as a DT.
