other players do things we'd find objectionable, but we don't care what less famous players do. It's only the ones we put on a pedestal that we get upset about. Maybe it's the people's fault for gobbling up twitter gossip and sports radio and reacting to things irrationally venomously. Sports fans make these guys way more important than they really are, then get shocked that a stranger doesn't meet their idealized impression of them.
I understand your point but this is the world we live in right now. He and his mother and agent have to understand that. This is no different than preparing for an opponent on the field. You understand what you are dealing with and you adjust do that you can defeat your opponent. The same with dealing with the public and the media. You just don't give them something to talk about. There are a thousand other guys in the NFL who apparently don't have this problem. So, it is not just because he is a young guy, etc. Why is it that other players are not getting caught up in this stuff? Did someone put a gun to his head to tweet a picture of himself and the rest of the NYG WRs on a yacht in FL with Beiber? No, he did that. Reporters were not following him.

Thanks for posting. Seems that this was Mike being butthurt which was my original thought on the matter. I like Mike for what he is, but man, he will hold a grudge and take it to his deathbed.
my guess beckham saw francesa was hosting and decided against going because he didnt want to give francesa the time of day, whoch is petty but i cant blame him...
