Perennially one of the NFL's most-burnt corners, Blake keeps getting chances for reasons unbeknownst. Ideally for the G-Men, he won't make the final 53.
He did make a couple of dumb plays last year on ST
but he is know as a very good gunner and special teams player. May mean they want an extra CB as a gunner to open a spot that Harris is taking on game day. Maybe for another TE or RB to dress.
Just fuckin Inspiring.. We freed up some cap dollars with
the JPP signing and now can afford throwing money at a 3rd tier FA? If they are thinking about releasing D.Harris for cap savings on this guy...Wow

There is no way this guy is signed for anything much more than a vet min contract. They are not throwing money at a 3rd tier. This is a signing that if the guy makes the team great if not so what.

Great job turning speculation into fact. You realize this guy probably signed for the league minimum with little to no guaranteed money.
Vet min. is what? My guess is almost Nine Hundred Thous. Use the money
on quality (what's left in FA). Money better used on trying
to re-sign Hankins or Robinson. That's all I'm saying.

No it is around 600K which would have no bearing on whether or not Hankins and Robinson are re-signed.

Vet min is based on the # of years played. There are also exceptions so that the full salary amount does not count against the cap which would encourage teams to sign younger players over vets.
I just don't see the benefit in this signing. I think its somewhat embarrasing..but low expections and who knows, He may turn into the next Renya Thompson.

How is it embarrassing? There are 90 roster spots that will be filled with UDFA rookies and no name free agents. Bringing in a good established special teams player is a solid move and hardly embarrassing.

I think you're missing the concept of signing guys for the vet minimum for camp competition.
Some good counter points. I don't need to have the final say on this. If he makes the team out of training camp I will be surprised and if he does then you'all can tell me so then.

It's always comical when people overreact over camp body/competition/depth signings. It's as if every signing has to be a known commodity, otherwise, it means that Reese and the front office are clueless.
Sub 4.4 40, 22 reps in bench. May replace Harris as the gunner if he doesn't want to renegotiate. Maybe they can coach him up on defense or give him a defined role.

So was janoris Jenkins that played out well

Excellent special teams player? I think he'd have to play MUCH smarter before he qualifies as excellent.

Maybe they wanted to bring him in to replace bobby Rainey considering his bone-head return abilities.

This guy will fit into Tom Quinn's scheme perfectly with plays like that. Might as well put the Lombardi Trophy in the case right now

I'm a superior fan because I think the Giants are flawed.
