And I really didn't miss it. At all. A couple years ago I did the same thing with fantasy football and I really didn't miss it. I don't know if you can really compare the two on their face but after all the sports radio talk about it over the course of time I actually feel like it's a huge weight off. Anyone else?
I'm sure the "madness" is fun, I just couldn't care less.
In fact, I may give a crap when it gets done to 8 teams, maybe not until the Final Four.
i don't care if my bracket is busted or not. worth a shot trying for a perfect bracket. i still got 3 of my final 4 in
Hell of a lot better than watching the NBA..............
they are fun when you do well, and they suck when you go down in flames
I find it fun and engaging. As long as I don't take too seriously, I'm good.
One year I was in a pool that paid out a couple hundred dollars to the winner. We get to the Final Four, and the guy running it tells me, "If Duke wins it all, you win." Now I was psyched, because this year Duke was considered to be far and away the best team in the tournament. And they got to the championship game with little effort... against UConn. I watched the game with a large group of people in a college commons area, and UConn won. I was pissed. One friend tried to tease me about it, and I struck back with the very sharp tongue. Then I went outside and just walked around for about an hour.
I wish I could stop FF. I hate watching the games with so much interest in the individual side of things. Lately I have stopped looking at the team I am playing that week and just tried watching the games with less FF in mind. It's helped. I love the game enough without FF.
