Update: Etta Tawo ran a 4.39 at his pro day! He appears to have put himself in the mix as an earlier rd selection! When you consider the QB's who were "throwing the rock" his way, I am all the more impressed. Link - ( New Window )
The one negative I have on Etta-Tawo is there are too many plays where I don't see max effort not to mention the mystery of why he wasn't productive at all while at Maryland. But I would consider him on Day 3 because he's physically talented.

The offense in MD was putrid. Dino Baber's runs a very offensively friendly system, and thus the production.
Syracuse's O seemed very friendly for receivers. Would have liked to have seen him stand out more in drills at the combine. Even with his Pro Day (I think Syracuse was notorious for a long time having a 38 yard track), I see him as someone in Round 5 or 6.
In three years at MD he had a combined 63 catches for 938 yds and 3 TDs. His most productive year was his freshman year and regressed from there. To go from that to what he did at Syracuse (94 catches, 1482 yds, 14 TDs) is something I'm sure he's getting questioned about.
did anyone watch him play last year? Looked to have great hands to me. Played against good competition, was a marked man by week 5, what's not to like?
and watched a bunch of games. I don't think he has bad hands at all. Made some amazing catches. And he is quick and plays the ball well in the air. I think he is one of those players that may not stand out in drills but when the pads are on he is a football player. Not sure why he wasn't much at Maryland, but he was a pleasant suprirse here in Cuse. He was a marked man quick and still produced, with suspect QB play for at least half of the year.
4.49. He supposedly has very bad hands.

This is not a concern... He was very solid at SU... some of his catches were amazing... I think this rumor of bad hands is way overblown.
