Are players allowed to contact the player directly or are they only allowed to talk to his agent? Im wondering about the Hankins situation, if he is getting bad advice from his agent can the team contact him directly?
That the CBA and/or the NFLPA would allow a team to bypass the player's agent and bring an offer directly to the player or to directly communicate with a free agent player for the purposes of signing them to a contract.
I would also think that the player's agent would be required to bring any offer from a team to the player... much like a real estate agent/broker has to present any offer they receive on a house to the homeowner, and a lawyer has to present any offer to his/her client.
