Just thinking a guy like him in his prime would have been allpro in this D last year imo
Guy was 6-3 235+ with insane speed and would cover/blitz great and behind this line would dominate
Boley has been the best Giants linebacker since 2007 imo
He was a Priceline rich version of Casillas who's a broke mans Boley but still extremely serviceable
Boley hit on Romo was the end of romo
I liked him, thought on the Giants he fit in well, but he was a LB who needed a DL that was as fierce as the Giants to keep the undersized LB's clean.
Was thinking the same thing.
Although, there is one thing Boley could do that Robinson can't do...
Agreed.
LOL
Boley is that dude.
Boley is that dude.
"Dude...Wha...dude..."
-Keenan Robinson
Harry Carson
Carl Banks
Sam Huff
Jessie Armstead
Antonio Pierce
Pepper Johnson
Those are some former Giants LBers that come to mind in their prime that would also be nasty on this current roster before I would ever think of Michael Boley.
Or Kevin Lewis.
Imagine those two with Greg Jones!?!?
Like totally OMFG.
Guy might have been a bad dude, but he earned his money here
The thing I like about the LBs now, while they don't really have a set of 'all-around' type LBs, they have a bunch of solid role-players who they can mix & match to need. Guess it will be Casillas - Goodson - Kennard as the nominal starters, but Robinson will see 2nd/3rd downs as a cover guy. And Thomas will see time on the trainer's table/waiver wire.
D was plenty good with JAG LBers last year. OL, run game and 29th ranked offense was the achilles heel. I vote OL :) and fuck the LBers

Boley was not a beast. He played for us for four seasons, was hurt often, never recorded more than 75 tackles in a season, got 3.5 sacks in 4 seasons and had one year when he got 3 ints but didnt get a single int in any other season. He was average/solid at best.
Joking, of course, Boley was better than he got credit for IMO, but agree that he's a strange guy to long for to add to this roster
