If I am a player, I do not leave college, unless I absolutely know I will be a 1st or 2nd rounder.
Of course you can always bet on yourself, to get a better second contract.
except the average career is about 3 yrs

you achieve a life long dream, you have an opportunity to make $2.5 million over four years and if you stay in college and you get hurt, you wind up with nothing.... I think it is a pretty easy choice for most kids.

you're going to have to leave college. they don't let you stay there forever.
College will always be there if your NFL career doesn't pan out.
