I think these lines actually refer to the same incentive. $87,500 appears to be the LTBE part of the $200,000. (7 * $12,500 = $87,500)

I don't know why they are assuming he would only be active for 7 games though.

That's a great contract which doesn't hurt the team if they draft and keep a rookie over him. It also allows them to grab a guy in the draft.

IMO.
He could literally just pre determine his throws and get by with his talent for any 1 game if Eli had a really sore hamstring one week
