NFT: Yankee Stadium Seats

jgambrosio : 3/22/2017 8:42 pm
I’m planning to head up to a game in June with a group of four other friends from high school. This is my first time to the new park, while a few head there every year since they’re in the area still.

How are the bleacher seats in the new stadium? Are they still blocked from the rest of the stadium? I want to splurge and get good seats, but since most of them go every year, they don’t really want to spend all that much.

A couple of us haven’t been so we want to wander around the place before the game and perhaps during just to check it out. Are there better seats to get that aren’t $700 premier seats or nosebleeds?

The bleachers are separated from the rest of the stadium. There are lots of good seats that while obviously more expensive than the bleachers are far below the $700 seats you've heard about (those are essentially the first 8 rows between the bases and are called the "legends" seats). For most games, seats are available on Stub Hub for less than face, with the obvious exceptions being Mets and Red Sox games. My prejudice is that the mezzanine seats just outside the Delta Club are the best value in the stadium, but you should play around with StubHub and see what combination of price and location works best for your group
I was kind of joking about the $700 seats

just wondering especially since even the lower tier looks to be pretty expensive too. Seats behind home are still $300 and the ones behind first/third are still $150 plus which I have a feeling they don’t want to spend. Just wondering what’s good value in the new place.
Try the Jim Beam Suite area

Sections 317-321. In the home plate area, nice view. Gives you access to a private bar, restroom, free peanuts and popcorn. Padded seats.
The Bleacher seats in the new Stadium are not separated

The answer above is incorrect. In the new Stadium you can walk all the way around, including accessing the Bleachers. However, because of the genius design of the Hard Rock, there are seats with obstructed views of the OF.
Also, depending on the opponent

There are some decent values to be had in the 3rd tier along the OF. The Yankees also have some ticket deals, like $15 for certain seats on specific dates, deals for paying with MC, etc.

Good advice here.

also, obviously, for baseball tickets the closer you can buy to the game time the lower the price you will pay.

Ex Mets/Red Sox, there are ALWAYS lots of tickets available for regular season baseball games.
