T.J. Rivera, Seth Lugo and Rene Rivera are back in Mets camp after being away with Team Puerto Rico. All the WBC Mets have now returned.
OH JFC. Excuse me 30 DAYS which is still more than how long he was out last time that he is saying he feels better than. lol. You will nitpick anything. How are any of us supposed to know what Lagares meant by that? I just speculated that maybe it wasn't "that bad". Are we going to argue what Lagares's, yours, and my definition of "that bad" is now?
"I think I’m going to be ready," Lagares said in reference to the regular season. "There’s not a lot" of discomfort in his oblique. #Mets
TC on Lagares: “I’m concerned. Those things can be one of those injuries that don’t go away for awhile. I’m very concerned."
Quote:
miss 30 games. Nice try though. Oblique is generally a 3-6 week injury. It's March 25th, if he missed a month he'd miss about 20 games.

Guy YOU were wrong. Just admit it. He said "as bad" not "that bad". He was referencing the previous injury. Just admit you read it wrong and move on. "That bad" and "as bad" are not the same thing and you know it. Has NOTHING to do with knowing what Lagares meant. He was referencing another injury. If I broke my toe and later stubbed it and said "it's not AS bad" as the previous injury it doesn't tell me it's not "that" bad.
Conforto gonna be seeing more reps in CF.
No Familia Suspension...
Familia
Reed
Salas
Blevins
Robles
Edgin
One of Montero, Smoker, or Lugo for last spot
Famila suspension...
Reed
Salas
Blevins
Robles
Edgin
Two of Smoker, Lugo, Montero, possibly Sewald (since a 40 man spot is open for Familia)
If Lugo makes the rotation that would open up a spot for Smoker
Robert Gsellman leads all @Mets starters in ERA (1.56), IP (17.1), OPS
(.581), and 2nd in WHIP behind deGrom (1.10). #Mets

He was referencing a minor injury that he came back quickly from and was saying it wasn't even as bad as that. So I said "that bad". I cant believe we are having this discussion. lol. All good man but I'm bowing way out of this one. I apologize for coming off confusing.
Harvey and Wheeler in extended spring training until they are healthy and go with Thor-JdG-Gsellman-Matz-Lugo
Collins shut that down. He said "Matt Harvey is in our rotation". Obviously Collins could change his mind but he seemed almost defiant when asked.

is not making the rotation. Near 0% chance. Gsellman locked it up.

As noted, Collins said Harvey is in the rotation. No extended for him.

Terry raved on Gsellman. Said WBC not a big factor in race for 5th. Nimmo isnt close. Harvey is in rotation.

or has that been ruled out?

Ok I missed that then thanks. Still think the Harvey situation is shaky. If he gets bombed this week and is throwing 92 again they might need to reconsider that.
I think Lugo is still in the running for a pen spot (not that I want him there) but we'll see. If the Mets were dead set on sending him to Vegas for depth they could make the move now as they have done with Reynolds, Rowen, and others.
add montero would be 8 deep
Awesome, Z!!
Exciting year.
The Mets are loaded across the board. We've waited a long time for this.

Let's hope that they stay healthy!!
I'm glad they have depth on the bench and some in AAA. Especially in early spring when cooler weathercauses injury.
