"He went down and found his game," Interim Coach Doug Weight said. "Every report I got was about how great his attitude was and how great he's playing and how great the team is playing in front of him. He's been a pro… He's gone down and did what he had to do and found his game and we're excited to have him back." |

"I just wanted to make the most or best out of my time down there and help the guys at the same time while they tried to help me," Halak said. "I think they work hard, that's all I can tell you about them and it's a great group. I obviously wish them good luck the rest of the way and hope they make the playoffs." "I'm going to try to enjoy it," Halak said. "That's all you can do. I'm happy to be back in the NHL. Every night for us, for me, for whoever is in net we need to keep getting points. Tomorrow is obviously a big game, then going home to play Boston that we're trying to catch, that'll be an even bigger game. We just have to go game by game and everyone try to play hard and try to bring their best right now. |

PITTSBURGH — The question trailed off and Josh Ho-Sang knew where it was going. The Islanders rookie was asked how it might feel when he takes the ice here on Friday for warmups before a crowd of Penguins fans who might view him, wearing their beloved No. 66, as . . . “Public enemy No. 1?” he said with a mischievous smile. “For me, Pittsburgh is the one city as a whole where I’m totally OK with them hating me. For wearing No. 66. Mario Lemieux is a hero, a pioneer for them there and for them to take it as disrespect is completely understandable. I think it’s everyone outside of Pittsburgh that should kind of get over it. But if they want to hate me for my career, they’re welcome to. I have no bad blood with them, they can have whatever they want with me.” “I definitely don’t think I’m helping it,” he said of the rivalry. “I can’t afford to think about that stuff. I’m sure when I get on the ice for warmups it’s not going to be a Ho-Sang friendly environment. For me, there’s so much more going on right now, despite what they want to do, say. We’re trying to make the playoffs. That’s the biggest thing for me. If I can be a little bit of a distraction, take the heat off the guys in that area, just be able to play, get two big points and get out of there. That’s the plan.” |

I take 100 insults here per week and don't go crying to the mods.
All posters are equal, but some are more equal than others.
Point is, Mike's clearly a thin skinned two face.
If I reported every post directed at me that was the same as what Mike reported me on, they'd be buried in paperwork.
If nothing else comes of this but seeing Mike's transparent hypocracy, I'm satisfied and you can carry on as usual.
Thanks Hudson! (Feel better now?)
Now about the game, it would be great if Ho-Sang scores the winner and Halak plays great. It will obviously help in the playoff chase, and it will also expose Capuano (for burying the kids) and Snow (for leaving the team with a minor league goalie as the backup).
I have a good feeling about both of them tonight, but we can't have another game from Tavares like he had against the Rangers. He wasn't even a no-show; he almost cost us the game. Hard to explain, but hopefully it was a one time thing.
Mike, center your chi, bro. Ignore and move on.
Back to hockey. Don't waste anyone else's bandwidth.

Think he can bank it off three skates tonight?
It is libel if you publish accusations against someone that cannot be proved - and that are damaging to them. A two year old article maliciously posted about a poster on this site, and awareness on our part of zero public records that back it up, leaves BBI open for allowing libelous content to occur. That particular topic, and like such references to that poster, is therefore not allowed to be discussed here.
it was deleted - because in posting you hit reply and it reposted word for word every thing B had written
Like I said earlier... being transparent and honest would do you a whole lot of good. Clearly that's not going to happen.
Greg - you can email me any proof of a public record in this matter if you like -- but I don't think you are going to find it buddy -- so if you wish to post about it -- you are warned that you may not
Perhaps you should.
I didn't think it was possible.
I don't even feel like insulting any fan bases right now.
You should be ashamed of yourselves. You know who you are.
Thanks B for trying to cheer me up, but it's not going to work.
Not today. I'm going to go away and recharge and when I come back I want everyone acting like B.

If my sarcasm meter is off, I apologize, but are you actually upset right now? Relax, man. Hockey will be the talk of the thread soon, if not right now.
LOL, ok, getting closer. You made me get out of my tanning bed to type this reply.
Hockey threads should be like Lord of the Flies. If a moderator even peeks into a hockey thread we've all failed as hockey fans. Hockey threads should be like the Vegas of BBI. What happens on hockey threads stays on hockey threads.
If you can't abide by the rules. Don't go on the threads.
We win ugly, kinda like when you regret going down on that hot chick because it smells like low tide, which you didnt expect in advance. But you're there and realize that she should have visited her friends at Massengill but still come up a champ with a glazed donut face. Because you know your reward is coming soon. Money shot after her return scuba diving expedition.
Adversity breeds character. We'll make it through. Besides, we have B killing the Frogs and pj now thoroughly exhausted, so I like where this is going.

No, I'm not really upset. Not even a little.
I'm disappointed.
I always felt worse when my mother said that to me when I was growing up.
I'm planning a farewell tour like Jeter and Mo, I expect gifts from every fan base. Or at least the two fan bases on BBI.
and I'll even tell you this right now, I'm planning to un-retire in a comeback of epic proportions after everyone celebrates me in faux celebrations b/c they really don't give a shit like most of the farewell tours.

I think the fans want to see Habs Pens, not just me.
Montreal has like 5 borderline goons on the roster now, most of which won't see the playoff roster, but who knows maybe one game Julien would load up to set the tone. He always reminded me of the Thunder Bay coach from Youngblood.

I'm just waiting on pj to rip off his 7 sweater to have a 77 sweater on underneath to replace it.
While the #77 reveal was a shock and a nice gesture, the only jersey I ever owned other than my own (#18) was a Chris Chelios #24 Canadiens jersey. And I was like 12 years old.

I didn't accuse anyone or mention a name. I only said that if it was true I was disappointed in BBI management.
Fuck Pittsburgh.

While I have owned several Isles jerseys over the years (Potvin as a kid and Tavares today, anything else has been a blank), I did have a family friend who bought me a Habs Mats Naslund jersey because I apparently reminded them of him when I was playing (at that time). I was never that good, but I wasn't gonna quibble about the thought, though.
I generally don't like the smaller players, especially the pure finesse guys, but man Naslund could play the game.
Of course, by the time that movie was made almost no one wore those old-style masks anymore, but you have to admit it's awesomeness.

Loved those masks. We have a goalie in my men's league who wears one. He's insane. One of my teammates is an art teacher at a local high school and he paid him to paint a "portrait" of his wife on his mask.
It's sort of cringe-worthy sort of funny. Who the F wants their wife on their goalie mask, unless they want her pelted with rubber hockey pucks.
Even in beer league hockey, it seems completely nuts to wear one of those things nowadays, but whatever floats his boat I guess.

Well if he accomplished anything, it's every time we play them all anyone tries to do is hit him in the face mask with a shot.
It's definitely distracting from a normal play standpoint, everyone wants to say something funny to him after hitting his wife with a puck.
and he is absolutely insane. I don't think those masks are THAT less protective, but with the way it's painted everyone is gunning for him and almost no goalie I've ever met likes to take one off the grill.
