Problem with that is you don't get sell as much merchandise ;)
It looks good, but DC has fooled us with trailers before
It's kind of funny, Suicide Squad completely changed my outlook on the whole "DCEU." I enjoyed both Man of Steel and Batman v Superman, but Suicide Squad was so bad that I have become skeptical of anything else the studio puts out.
I really want to get excited about Justice League, I am a huge fan of the comics, but I really need to see a solid showing from Wonder Woman this summer before I will let myself get pumped up for Justice League.
In Batman Vs. Superman and is currently believed to be dead. In sure Justice League will involve his resurrection.
You may want to re-watch the ending.
100% Superman will be in Justice League.
No shit. We the audience know that superman is alive, but the D.C. Universe doesn't. His resurrection will be part of the Justice League movie. Thus why he is not in the trailers.
I always appreciate your threads. That being said, I will never understand your love for these DC movies. Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy was genius. Every other DC movie I have ever watched has terrible.
I would love for this movie to be great, but it looks to be in the same mold as Batman vs. Superman, which was again terrible.
The reason why "The Avengers" worked so well was, we had fleshed out single movies beforehand.
So... We have Nolanverse (which isn't represented in these new movies) 1 stand alone Superman movie... And a mash-up of Superman and a new Batman.
No Aquaman movie. No "new" Batfleck movie. Only SM and a Wonderwoman movie that cones out 3 months prior to Justice League.
IDK.
Unless Wonder Woman is a homerun... And Justice League really resurrectes the fleeting DC universe... I just don't have much hope. Suicide Squad and "the Martha scene" really put a sour DC taste in my mouth.

I don't think they are rushing into anything. Marvel put out 5 movies prior to the Avengers releasing and DC will have put out 4 (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad, and Wonder Woman) by the time Justice League comes out.
The Justice League has a roster of 7 members, the Avengers focused on 4. It is a lot to ask moviegoers to wait through 7 origin stories before getting to the Justice League. The Justice League has always primarily centered around the "Trinity" of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. Batman and Superman have gotten their introductions already, and Wonder Woman will have had hers by the time Justice League comes out. DC is handling Aquaman, Flash, and Cyborg the same way in which Marvel is handling Black Panther, Spider-Man, and Captain Marvel, not to mention Hawkeye and Black Widow who have played pretty prominent roles without never getting their own films. If I remember correctly, Marvel has flat out said they are done with origin stories unless they introduce a new concept ala Ant-Man with the microverse and Dr. Strance with "magic."
But as I said earlier, Suicide Squad has really put a damper on the excitement. I think if that movie were even halfway decent the narrative surrounding the DCEU would be much different.
they smashed in together: The Dark Night Returns, Doomsday, the Death of Superman, the intro of Wonder Woman, Injustice, Darkseid and probably a few other storylines I missed.

Believe me when I say this - As much as I like BvS, I still wish they left the Doomsday/Death of Superman storyline out of it. Part of me feels that the execs wanted a bigger villain for the end. IMO, the movie would've flowed better with the just the motivations of Bruce & Lex on wanting to stop Superman for good & having Diana putting a stop to it. Death of Superman deserves it's own movie.
that came out as it was being made into a film. He made a loving remake of the book, often bringing the panels directly into the film. At the end of the day though he is a terrible director of actors. That movie was truly lifeless on film and awkwardly cast.

I agree, BvS would have been better without forcing Doomsday\Death of Superman story-lines into it. That in of itself would have been a great Superman movie after Justice League.
perfect plot for the big scene just in the hands of a director who's inability to tell a story shines. The first hour was good, the rest was a bore, and felt like Synder was just throwing darts.
300 was a cool movie and because it was so simple it worked. He probably took the same approach there too which was masked by people just wanting to see action. He's been trying to duplicate that formula with everything since and it doesn't work.

the watchmen's trailers were so awesome. The music choices for all the trailers were so good. Smashing Pumpkins and the Muse.
I much prefer one super-hero per movie.

Bear me to it. How can it be Justice League without Superman I also don't buy into everything they show Aquaman doing. Why call him Aquaman?
That being said, it doesn't look terrible. But DC is just so late to the super hero party.
You may want to re-watch the ending.
100% Superman will be in Justice League.

anyway, I'm done with comic book movies after Logan.

I disagree...can't stand MCU movies dedicated to children... movies should be more realistic and gritty like Logan.

He's no Nolan but Watchmen is one of the best comic book movies

Also...
Justice League might be 3 hours :)
