having decided to test free agency, not eager to admit that the market wasn't interested in him and he would have to "crawl back" to the Giants. signs a contract worse than the Giants offered unless he meets all incentives.
Thinking of other free agents who didn't get a great offer from the Giants (maybe Steve Smith, Tuck, Manningham), but the free agency market didn't want to pay them more either, so they end up signing some incentive-laden contracts with little guaranteed money.
Thought hank was signing back with giants before tomorrow
Than other teams. He knows the defense and is a known quantity to the Giants. On top of that he is young and healthy. The bottom line is we were the only team that could stop Dallas rushing attack. Can we plug another player in his spot and have the same results? Maybe. Or maybe not. That is vital to winning the division. With our cap room there should be no reason we get out bid by another team (unless it's rediculous offer).

Slade didn't say that he will sign with the Giants. He said Hankins will sign on Monday. He never specified which team. We obviously assume it is with that Giants but that isn't what he said. And he never said it was imminent.

We really don't have a lot of cap room. And Dallas lost 2/5 of their offensive line this offseason.
though not 100% sure, I'm rather certain he meant with us, otherwise, why bother posting it? That would be eqiuvalent to "Hall signs," then showing a picture of hallway signs

We are close...a lot closer than Detroit.

I am just stating the facts. That is all.
