Looking for advice or recommendations for a romantic trip away to Bermuda. I've OCD researched the shit out of the places to stay but have yet to lock in on a final choice. We're going in August and considering the following places: Fairmont Southhampton, Newstead Belmont, Inverurie Suites or Groto Bay.
Groto Bay is close to the airport and a longer ride into Hamilton

it does feature deep caves one with a disco in it. you can go to the caves whether you stay there or not. all the places are nice.
Thanks

GTT. Groto was on the pricey end. Did you prefer being closer to Hamilton? There are so many deals out there. Tough to decide.
Fairmont Southampton

Is great. Make sure you get a room on the beach side. Short ride down to the private beach. From there it's another short walk to Horseshoe Beach. And you can jump on the bus to the Dockyard on the backside of the FS.

It's been a few years, but I would +1 this. Really enjoyed our stay there.
We're leaning towards the Fairmont

But the best prices to repackage deal with JetBlue. We just noticed that includes your room with a "partially obstructed view."
Sorry

The package from Jet Blue includes a room with a partially obstructed view.
The Fairmont sits on top of a hill

And the views are really great. The rooms have balconies and you'll definitely not want to deprive yourselves of the view.
Mike you have to go into Hamilton a few times

to a club, certainly to buy cashmere sweaters and booze
I'd recommend the ferry from the Dockyard to Hamilton

Have a drink at the Fairmont Hamilton. Walk the streets and visit the pubs. Just remember, Sundays are completely dead and many businesses are closed.
If you've researched Bermuda you probably already know

it's very expensive. We were there 20 years ago. Cheapest meal we had was a pizza for about $50.

Visit Horseshoe Beach if you get a chance. Softest sand I've ever felt - it was like walking on flour.
I appreciate all of the comments
