I think as long as they can nab a top 5-6 pick I'd be happy.
Was very active on defense though. Love to see that given his physical tools.
I hope DX puts out an analysis against UNC. They actually play defense.
Personally, only player id take over Jackson is fultz.
Jackson and ball is 50/50 for me.
I don't dislike the player but too much downside for this team where they'll be picking. Feels like if the Knicks drafted him he'd just turn into a chucker who plays no D.
if they pass on Fox for JJ I'm fucking done. I like him, don't get me wrong but this draft is all about getting a floor general for the next 10-15 years.

Jackson and would even pass on the PGs for him

Prepare to be done then. 0% chance the Knicks would take Fox over Jackson. Absolutely none.
i could see him seeing them as scottie pippen

i think jackson has a kawhi leonard type ceiling..
people forget leonard came into the league with no jump shot

i disagree on this. Fultz, Ball, Fox are better players. JJ's shooting could be a problem at the next level. Look if none of those 3 are available, i'd run to take him, but to me those 3 are exactly what this team needs.

jackson is going 3 or 4 guaranteed..
maybe higher depending if celtics draft for need
"A source told The Post that Jackson felt Gasol was headed for a steep decline and considered a big-money deal risky as he sought a replacement for the traded Robin Lopez."
"He sounded disappointed in Jackson for not even calling him in July as Jackson had during his previous free agency in 2014. Gasol then declined to back the Zen Master in his attempt to force-feed the triangle. Gasol said he believes Jackson should back off and let the coaches and players figure out a system."- NYPOST
I'd love to know the real truth how much Noah's visit to Phil in Montana played in him signing him.
Also, I love to hear that the Knicks are interested in Jackson ( who wouldn't be), but the line about having a "triangle skill set" really worries me. What exactly is a triangle skill set? Being really good and talented at basketball?

who am i kidding. Ive been done with them every year since the Layden years...i'll talk myself into them again around September.
Yes I would. I know he's been a disaster but odds are still very low on a 2nd rounder being a good player (of course there are success stories) but nobody was suggesting Hezonja was a reach at 5. I'd take my chances on rebuilding him.
Makes others on the floor better due to passing. He controls games.
New mock draft out today has Lonzo dropping to Knicks at 4.
new mock draft - ( New Window )
Sure why not. Where the Knicks 2nd rounders are going to fall have very little value. Hezonja was the 5th overall pick 2 years ago. He's been awful but that's a guy I would to take a chance on.
I would love to figure out a way for the Knicks to get a late 1st in this draft. This class just seems so deep and if they are truly going in a youth movement, I'd love to see another rookie for next years team.

Yeah, i think they have to try to acquire another couple picks so you assume they will. But then again, Phil is running the team so I'm sure they won't.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH

News flash: PGs pass the ball
Derrick Rose passes the ball. What the hell does that mean?
Jackson gives you playmaking at an additional position besides PG.
The Knicks need talent, not a position. Jackson has the potential to guard 4 positions at the NBA level. That's what the Knicks need.
Geez, who's coaching their D? Kurt Rambis?
i could see him seeing them as scottie pippen
Agree completely with this. I'm not banking on a point guard at all, and would be thrilled with Jackson or Tatum.
Never say never but he would have to drastically improve his ball handling. I think he could definitely become a facilator but a point guard? I don't see it. I love him as a prospect though.
2) Ball
3) Jackson
4) Tatum
5) Fox
6) Smith Jr.

if they do go jackson or tatum, i want mason in the 2nd, he is not going to be some star player but he plays hard leaves it all oit on the court, can dribble drive, shoot the 3 and he has good vision
.
his problem is his height and he will get passed over because of it

Don't rule out Jacksons ability to potentially play PG in the NBA.

Remember when the Bucks tried Giannis at PG his 2nd year and it was a disaster?
Hell, the Lakers have tried Ingram at the point and I like Jacksons handle, passing ability and first step more.
It's a stretch no doubt, but Jackson is capable of working out of the pick and roll. Maybe he won't be a primary PG but you can leave him out there with the 2nd unit and create some offense.
As Knicks fans, I think you have to root for the Lakers to keep their pick. 1) You don't want to see the Sixers get a top 5 pick and 2) keeping the pick allows for the slim chance Magic decides to go all in trading for PG13 and Melo. Very unlikely but one of the only scenarios the Knicks receive any value in trading Carmelo.
2) Ball
3) Jackson
4) Tatum
5) Fox
6) Smith Jr.
Great year to suck - I'd be happy with any of the above. Hell, if we fall to 7 and take Isaac I'm happy, and I'd be OK with the Frenchman at 8.
2) Ball
3) Jackson
4) Tatum
5) Fox
6) Smith Jr.
I think I'd put smith 4th. One of his strengths is being able to breakdown a defense without needing a pick.
Not to keep bringing this back on fox, but watching U.K. This month and going back and watching fox highlights, I haven't seen him able to do anything unless a screen is set for him. Seems way too passive to initiate anything in ISO.
Well they're averaging 106/game, good for 13th in the NBA. But they're doing it with #1 overall pace and #28 overall off-rtg.
