One thing about Marvel: They will keep banging on the movie until the last possible moment. I've had people who worked on their movies tell me that "(TITLE) was bad until it wasn't." They are always pushing to make it better. Their movies haven't all been very good, but they haven't had a straight-up stinker, unlike Warner/DC. Their willingness to tinker until the last minute is part of the reason why.
So what the movie looks like in March could be pretty different from what it looks like in July.
Sony will lose the rights to Spiderman if they don't put out a movie like every 2 years or something like that. Wasn't a problem about 10 years ago, but if they were to let it happen now, Marvel Studios would scoop it up in a heart beat. Thank god they came to an agreement on Captain America - Civil War.
Now if they could just get the X-Men involved on the Infinity War movies.
Although I wish they kept most of the Iron Man stuff a secret and a nice surprise when watching it.
I understand why they did it, as RDj/Iron Man is Marvel's cash cow and their in to get average movie goers to see this film.
Yet, I wish they didn't show so much in this trailer.
Speaking of which, has there been any trailers yet on the new Thor movie that's doing the Planet Hulk story-line? I know nothing about that film and I'm more excited to see that film then Spiderman.
But wasn't there a guy on YouTube who pieced together like 45 minutes of film footage from all the world wide trailers that Sony released for that film.
That was WAY too much info coming out before the actual film was released.

No Thor: Ragnarok trailer yet, but Cate Blanchett with dark hair as Hela...hela, yes:
has some of the crappiest villains. Besides Venom and Carnage, I cannot think of any other Spiderman Villains that I like.
Venom and Carnage are by far the 1A and 1B of Spider-man villains in my opinion.
Never been a fan of the Green Goblin and don't think you could do a decent version on the big screen that wouldn't be crappy.
Spidey villain that would be great for a sequel would also be Kraven the Hunter (minus the crappy jungle themed outfits). They'd need to get Kraven a more modern look and feel but I think he'd be great in a thriller trying to hunt down Spider-man through the streets of New York.
I still remember how hard I rolled my eyes when there were rumors of Vulture being the villain in Raimi's Spider-Man 4 before it was cancelled. He looks like a great villain. Keaton was a perfect choice.
I still don't think Stark will have a huge role in this. He will talk with Peter early on, show up to save the day in the boat scene, take the suit and disappear until the very end after Parker defeats Vulture.
My concern is that the cast list includes three villains -- Vulture, Shocker, and Tinkerer.
Stark taking away Spiderman's suit? Looks like an origins story to me.
Stark already gave him the suit in Captain America 3: Civil War. This won't be an origins story, but the rebooting of Spider-Man has put him back in high school.

Right...and then Stark took the suit back.
So he really isn't "Spiderman" until he earns it....aka an origins story.
1) Am I the only one who didn't think this looked good?
2) It's not an origins story, but it tells his origin?
3) They couldn't make a stand alone movie tying it in to the Marvel Universe movies without completely re-writing Spider Man's origin? Isn't some of the charm of his character that Peter was a genius and made his own suit, web shooters, etc.?
friend of mine saw the movie and its basically the trailer. its a very underwhelming story apparently.
Super stoked for Alien: Covenant as well. Not a terrible looking Spring summer lineup.

And I hope it includes a whiny, bitching, love interest. Mary Jane's on her period? Lets dedicate half the film to her!
Can you tell I hate this franchise?

a) it's not an origins film and b) no Mary Jane.

Spiderman is second to Batman in the rogues gallery:
Green Goblin, Venom, Hobgoblin, Dr Octopus, Shocker, Mysterio, Vulture, Electro, Rhino, Jackal, Scorpion, Lizard, Sandman, Kingpin, Kraven the Hunter, Carnage, Tinkerer, Silvermane,Tombstone, Tarantula, etc.

Probably not.. but you did click the thread ;)
looks like they gave away the ENTIRE PLOT!

Yup and they all stink! Especially Doc Oc with the bowl cut.
