Cam seems to me to be a Flowers clone.
Bolles is 25 and I think his frame is maxed out, he will be near 30 by the time his 2nd contract comes up.
Ramczyk has only started 1 year and has had a hip injury in his first year starting and they say he also has short arms for the position. He does pkay with a nastiness and seems to have thebhighest upside so he is the most acceptable out of Bolles and Cam to me.
Lamp seems to be the safest OL pick, a plug and play guard with probowl potential.
I am not a fan of forcing the pick for an OT in Rd 1 if the value is not there.
But I can see us picking a RT in Round Three or Four.
None of these prospects has much of a chance to unseat Flowers, fans need to accept that.
On Bolles, wasn't Aaron Ross of a similar age when he was drafted at a position of dire need? To me Bolles is a possibility but Lamp only if he will be a clear LT in the NFL.
That said, I agree that Lamp is a plug and play OG, and if we were fearful of losing Pugh next year he'd be a fine choice.
the following OL were all higher ranked than these 2 coming out as Tackles going back to 2011.
N. Solder, T. Smith, G. Robinson, J. Matthews, L. Johnson, T. Lewan, M. Kalil, R. Reiff, E. Fischer, L. Joeckel, DJ Fluker, Z. Martin, E. Flowers, A. Peat, B. Scherff, C. Ogbuehi
Kalil is the only guy who played well as a R LT and then fell off a cliff. Some started off at RT (Solder, Smith, Lewan, Johnson, Fisher, Ogbeuhi) some moved inside (Scherff, Fluker, Martin, Peat) some were put a LT and struggled early (Reiff, Matthews)
If either of Bolles or Ramcyzk are thought as these can't miss LT they wont be available at 23
BPA. Whoever is at the top of their board when their time comes is who I want.
This.
I think Lamp will be a very good guard, but I think Dorian Johnson will also.
Given the choice, I'd prefer to use the first pick elsewhere and take Johnson in the 2nd.
Of course, there is a good chance both will be gone. I think OL will be way overdrafted.
The only OT I see being a future player with pro-bowl potential is Antonio Garcia out of Troy. And being a small school prospect, he won't go in the first round.
6'6", 302 lbs, 33 1/2 arms, etc
The scoop from NFL.com:
"Outstanding athleticism. Very good lateral quickness coming out of stance. Former high school hooper who still has basketball feet. Able to mirror pass rushers before and after engagement. Rarely beaten cleanly around edge by speed. Continues to slide feet and maintain engagement up and around pass arc. Works to keep his blocks centered in his power zone."
He has the light toe-tappin dancing feet needed to be a top OT, but could use an additional 10-15 lbs of muscle and some NFL seasoning. He would get some snaps this year, but would take over LT the following season after his NFL baptism
I'd take him in the 2nd round in a heart beat
He made the Pro Bowl in his 3rd year. He was not good as a part time R, he was OK last year.
The point is it took him 3 years,
I'm on record for a while and even in this thread as against drafting an OL in Round 1 with this class.

3 years means there's still hope for Flowers.
