So a teacher at my school has a son was a 4-year starting left tackle at Columbia University. He worked out at the Wagner College pro day last week, and he got an invitation to the Giants local prospects workout on April 7. Check out his senior year highlights below.

Thanks for sharing.
Just from seeing that quick I can point out some things. I love his bend. He isn't perfect at it and lunges sometimes to get off balance but you see it enough where he is able to redirect his moment pretty effortlessly because he sinks his hips. To compare him to Flowers, Flowers doesn't have natural bend which is one reason I think he really has some struggles. He doesn't trust his feet and bails out too quickly bringing his weight up higher which is why he is not able to deliver a proper blow to the defender.
Another thing that stands out was his vision. Considering he goes to Columbia I am assuming he is smart. He diagnoses plays very quickly and reacts just as quickly. He has his eyes up the whole time.
On that screen it was like he was shot out of a cannon. He kept his shoulders squre to the line of scrimmage and got out to his land mark. Impressive.
A negative that I see is that he doesn't seem to have a strong initial punch. Yes, he latches on to guys and drives them to the ground which is nice but Columbia is a huge step down from the NFL. You would hope an NFL level talent would be kicking some ass there. But his initial punch doesn't stifle the defender.
Overall, there is a lot to work with. He would be a great FA signing and possible practice squad player. Hell, look at Seattle with their LT who rarely played football and was a basketball player. Yes, he had his troubles but I think that is more just a lack of experience than anything else. He showed a lot of ability.
So only 1 guy tried to speed rush him to the outside shoulder. Most either bull rushed or tried to spin/crash inside. Makes me wonder if there is a reason we don't see those highlights.
The Raiders' and Colts' scouts took his info, and he got invited to the Giants and Jets' local prospects workouts (although since they're only a day apart, he's saving himself for the Giants' workout).
And yes, he was 2nd team All-Ivy, although being one of the best players on an otherwise mediocre team (Columbia was 3-7 in 2016, 5-35 in his four years) may have contributed to him not getting first team.
I would love to see this guy get a chance with the Giants. Not withstanding the attraction of the father having to root for the Giants (they're Cowboys fans), this is a guy who has been dominant for much of the last four years, and has been impressive when going head to head against some of the best players on that level.
