We will use this as a discussion thread to keep the picks thread uncluttered. These threads will be used for the duration of the entire draft and will need to be bumped occasionally to push them back to page 1 of the forum.
Once a team is on the clock, they will have two hours to make a selection. If a team goes on the clock after 4pm, their two hour window will roll over to the next day. For example, if you go on the clock at 4:30pm, you will have until 9:30 am to make a selection. Picks may be made between 6pm and 9am if GMs are online and following the draft thread. The time limit only applies during the 9am to 6pm timeframe. If the two hour time limit expires, I will make a pick using any list that the GM for the team has sent me in advance (send lists to the email address in my profile) or in the absence of a list, I will use the
GBN Big Board with a little discretion so as not make an obvious dumb pick (ie: Indianapolis Colts won’t be taking a QB in the 1st round this year). If a GM misses two consecutive picks without providing a prospect list or making some form of contact with me (email or posting on the draft thread) the spot will be reassigned to one of the BBIers who have expressed an interest to fill the vacancy.
Once again, I strongly encourage ALL GMs to utilize the
BBI Mock Draft Spreadsheet . The spreadsheet contains the draft order (RD1-6) by team and GM with a fairly comprehensive list of both available and taken prospects based on the GBN Big Board (as well as several other prospects that did not make the GBN Big Board). I will try to keep the spreadsheet and thread updated as often as possible.
Interesting thing about this draft is that there are some good teams who need a QB...
Arizona, Denver, Houston. Arguably NYG, Pittsburgh, KC, New Orleans
I am the GM for Pittsburg... I might be interested in the top QB if he is still there especially because Ben Roethlisberger is threatening retirement.
Ultimately went with Corey Davis as I may be able to get a QB later on
sorry mike for taking your guy :)

He was on my short list (along with Hooker) when I posted that there were 4 names on my list. Hooker-Player X-Davis-Player Y
I really thought about taking Dalvin Cook, but the off field stuff is scary.

Drafting a whole bunch of fast WR's and nothing else will do that to you. Nice pick with Humphrey though. Had the 4 highest rated players on my board gone in the 4 picks before mine then my fallback was probably going to be Humphrey

My question to you is if you knew he would be the pro that Jackrabbit has become (remember he dropped in the draft due to off the field issues, and has not had any issues since joining the league [knock on wood]) would you still not pick Cook?
Why take the risk when there are similarly talented players without the baggage also available?
I might do that anyway!
May I suggest the 47th ranked kicker?

With all of the injuries to Long Snappers lately, that would be more helpful.
Then coming around with my 18th overall pick to address the defense with perhaps the most athletically gifted pass rusher in the draft with Haason Reddick!
Nice work by all GMs so far. Hard to argue with any of the picks, though I'm not sure I understand CiP's logic with Conley over Humphrey.
Apparently, Dalvin Cook at 23 isn't so far-fetched after all. Does he offer enough "special" for NYG to look past his medical and legal issues if he's still on the board?

I will be out of pocket this weekend.
I do not think it means what they think it means.

I think the Eagles view Conley as a higher upside guy, he's been skyrocketing up charts, and there is a lot of smoke around here about them being very interested in him. Like I said, when I have a handful of choices I try to do what I think the team would really do.
Seriously, though - all of the top linemen in this class seem to have issues that would justify steering clear of them in the first half of Round One. Do you see the next Tyron Smith on the board?

OL are almost always undervalued. I fall into some great picks almost every year (Unger, Solder, Frederick, Iupati, Collins*, Stanley, etc). Looks like I will have my pick of top OL's again despite the teams yet to pick having a clear need at OL.
Good old Andy, blowing smoke to distract us from his inability to resist a Miami TE if the draft gods offer one up at #23.

I think Bolles has that upside. If not for the fact that the Ravens took Stanley at #6 last year and the fact that Barnett was there with my pick, Bolles would have merited serious consideration for the Ravens.
That's the direction I went with my Titans selections.
I was thinking that as well. No way do the Jets come up to pick with all the Qbs on the board and not chose the top rated guy. That's just how they would pick because they are clueless.
Agree!

You may like Bolles in the top half of the first round, and that's fine, but very few mocks would have him gone by now. I don't see anything happening in this draft to O Linemen that isn't reflected in almost all credible online mocks I've seen

Damn you! I wanted Reddick at 19. Great pick buddy.

So I went back to look at the combine for both Reddick and Garrett. What freak athletes in totally different bodies.

Those are some damned explosive athletes. It doesn't look like Garrett did the shuttles or 3 cone. I'd be curious about his results at that size.
New coach Vance Joseph is implementing more of a power blocking scheme, so Ramczyk is a better fit than Bolles. We see Bolles as a better fit for a team that uses a zone blocking scheme.
BTW, Ramczyk is a good pick for Denver. The question there is whether any member of the 2017 QB class would offer a likely upgrade over Siemian/Lynch.

Oh, but what an incompletion!
It was a tough choice between McKinley and Njoku. I like McKinley over Charlton because of upside.
