George Kittle TE/IOWA

Lunchtime12pm : 4/11/2017 2:02 pm
Why little talk about him? Has great hands and is neck and neck with OJ Howard as best blocking TE in this draft class. Has great straight line speed but needs to work on his route running and separation skills to keep defenders from quickly figuring out his routes.

has him 3rd or 4th rd.
I like this kid a lot.

Always gives 110%. Good, if not great, blocker, Good speed. Underrated athleticism. looks to celebrate with all his team instead of 'look at me'.

A solid 4th rounder, if not 3rd.
One of my favorite TE's in this class.
Vin_Cuccs : 4/11/2017 4:17 pm : link
Would absolutely love him in the 4th.
We just signed Elllison to s 4 year deal
jayg5 : 4/11/2017 4:30 pm : link
No need for him IMO. Get me a pass catching threat at TE.
That three cone, if correct...
Dan in the Springs : 4/11/2017 4:48 pm : link
is amazing at his size. 6.76 seconds? Blazing fast. For comparison, here's some 3 cone times of other NYG.

WR
OBJ - 6.69
SS - 7.00

CB
DRC - 6.74
Jackrabbit - 6.95
Eli Apple - 7.00

TE
Will Tye - 7.21
Jerell Adams - 7.05
Matt Lacosse - 7.30
Rhett Ellison - 7.16

And then compared to the top 5 TE combine results, where Kittle didn't participate...
OJ Howard - 6.85
Engram - 6.92
Njoku - 6.97
Everett - 6.99
Roberts - 7.05
im a fan

if they choose to get a TE late then im good with this. Prob 4th rounder. they do believe in jerrell adams so i wont be too shocked if they drafted a block first TE, instead of going after a top pass catching threat.
Good value on day 3.

Well thats for sure and in two of those run plays, he absolutely dominated his assignment. Him and Adams would be nice options going forward thats for sure.

Light in the ass though. Needs to put on like 15+
Loves to block,

and has excellent hands. Don't know if he's big or strong enough to block NFL DE's, but I'd like to see him in our camp. Better than Adams, maybe -- not sure he's worth the pick.

He was on the ground a lot.

I'd prefer a guy who can really work the seam like Njoku, Engram, and Everrett to pair with Ellison. If we can't get one of those three I feel like we should just continue to develop Adams for that role.
He does need to get stronger and improve his route running,
Ira : 4/12/2017 5:27 am : link
but he's one of the best athletes among tight ends in the draft and a very willing blocker. He could be a third round pick based on potential.

Has him as his number 5 overall TE. I don't think he lasts past the third, especially once TE's start coming off the board.
