Believe it or not he actually does lol. He's Pedro minus the HOF pure stuff lol
He doesn't. Nor does he throw hard of have a freakish breaking ball. He's closer to Dillon Gee than Pedro (he does have a shot though).

2:14 Lets get the obvious out of the way... Mets fans are already clamoring for Amed Rosario (due in large part to Reyes awful start). When do you project Rosario to be ready to help the Mets? When would you promote him?
Keith Law
2:15 Midyear? I worry that Vegas isn't going to help Rosario develop at the plate at all, because it's a good hitting environment where mistakes aren't necessarily punished (and sometimes get rewarded). He may end up needing a promotion to continue to develop as a hitter, especially in recognizing breaking stuff and laying off those pitches out of the zone.
To suggest the Mets may need to promote their #1 prospect and probably best non-pitcher prospect since Wright or Reyes just to continue to develop as a hitter has to be a massive indictment of the location.
3:03 As a Mets fan I think it's pretty cool (rare) to find a good local talent. Any thoughts on Queens native Quentin Holmes? Around where do you project him being drafted?
Keith Law
3:03 Probably goes in the 25-50 range. Toolsy, big question around the hit tool and ability to make contact.
Plus Vegas is only 2000 feet. It's just really dry because it is in the Mojave Desert. But CF is also 433 feet, so it is not like it is easy to hit the ball out.
So, yeah, I would like the Mets to move but let's not act like playing at Vegas is worthless because a lot of hitting is confidence and a lot of our young hitters do well right out of the gate after mashing at Vegas. And conversely pitchers learn they have to really be careful with location. Look at Lugo: got hit fairly hard at AAA but then did well in the majors.Learned how to spot the fastball and curve.

That's not entirely fair. The 51's play in the PCL Pacific Southern so they play in the same division as most of the better hitters parks an d thus on the road vs. them more than the rest of the PCL
