If Wynn is the difference between drafting a DE this year or not, I would rather have Wynn and forego the comp pick than draft a DE and potentially having an extra pick next year if the contract is reasonable
If a fungible UDFA helps generate an extra pick for a future draft while freeing up a roster spot for a player with legitimate upside, that feels like a win on all fronts, IMO.
