While the new legislation will take Canada beyond its medical marijuana system, it stops far short of creating an open market. The law will require purchasers to be at least 18 years old — though provinces can set a higher minimum — and it will limit the amount they can carry at any one time to 30 grams, about an ounce. |
And re 1 oz, in a country where pot is legal and readily obtainable, what the fuck are your plans where you need more than an ounce? It's like saying "hey, we've got limits on beer -- you cant buy more than a keg at a time".
You're also the worst type of loser. A clueless one. A lost, pitiable meandering mess of a human with zero grasp of reality or how things should be. You no doubt duly enjoy & celebrate your drug of choice which causes far greater harm - DUI deaths, domestic abuse, organ damage - while denouncing those who enjoy another comparatively innocuous one. And you're in horrible company alongside our decrepit and creepy top cop.
Your neighbor is smoking it. Your mailman is smoking it. Your kid's teacher and babysitter are smoking it. To paraphrase the great Bill Hicks: all those artists whose music you love were smoking a LOT of it ("The Beatles were so fucking high they let Ringo sing a few tunes.")
America is starting to get real on this issue, but no doubt an insidious strain of clueless Nixon & Nancy Reagan sanctimony regrettably endures among nosy puritans.
Those people will continue to die, however, and progress will march on. Ironically, their end of life suffering could in many cases be mollified by weed.
Canada is awesome.
