A friend of mine who is a "Tollywood movie star" (one step removed from Bollywood!) in India posted a photo of the two of us when she was visiting a couple months ago and it got over 2,000 likes within hours. And now I've been bombarded with friend requests from India. Is it safe to accept them all? Is there a downside to having hundreds of Facebook friends that you have nothing to do with (in terms of the algorithm)? Is there an upside to it (for marketing purposes)? It's not just the friend requests, I'm getting messages and requests for video chats. Oy.
Here's the photo for the "Pics or GTFO" crowd (I know I look like a dork)!

Guys marry guys
The whole collecting as many new FB friends fad has died down in the US but has picked up in other countries.
I'd be weary because some might feel pretty comfortable considering you an actual "friend" and start posting/messaging/sharing stuff you might not exactly be interested in.
Yeah I'd buckle in tight if you're about to accept them all.

Literally. The population density is insane over there.
p.s.--And I'm bored, antsy, and in need of more distractions to keep me from working.
