For the second year in a row Jesse Marsch has abandoned the 4-2-2-2 formation early in the season and the Red Bulls have responded. Way too much tinkering going on there. Kjlestan is so much better as a straight #10. And I don't know how Europe missed the boat on Bradley Wright-Phillips. He is a better finisher than some guys that are making huge bank at major clubs in Europe (I'm looking at you Olivier Giroud).
There was a really clever goal to win the Montreal match over Atlanta in the last minute. Hard shot into the area that is going wide but is really well redirected. It's worth checking out.
Also worth checking out was the extent to which Cyle Larin (who is a fucking BEAST...too bad he's Canadian) made Jermaine Jones his bitch on the game winning goal for Orlando City over LA Galaxy. Sometimes I watch Jones play and I wonder if I've been high for years, because he's one of the worst players I've ever seen and yet he continues to get USMNT opportunities.
In high school Harkes was a funny guy. Very good with impressions. Then I see him after he's in England. He's back home and he has this English accent. We thought he was messing around with it but somehow that accent stuck for a few years. It was hilarious.
