Round One-Forrest Lamp-OT/G-Western Kentucky
Round Two-doubt if he lasts, but if there, Jordan Willis-DE-Kansas State
Round Three-Bucky Hodges-WR/H-Back (some say round 5, but look at the combine #s)
Round Four-Donta Foreman-Texas or Cory Clement-Wisconsin-TB...yes, Foreman has a case of the yips that might see him slide & yes, Clement did not blaze his 40 in Indy, but both are power oriented inside runners & Clement is the hometown (NJ) kid
Round Five-Jordan Evans-Oklahoma-OLB or Jerod Evans-QB Virginia Tech...staff went en masse to work out 6 QBs. Only 2 not given round one marks were Evans & Kaaya...Evans has great range, burst & power, recording 277 tackles with 21 TFL in 36 starts
Round Six-Grover Stewart-Albany State-DT-Big Snacks will fight this kid for food at the dining room table, but this guy will be a fan fave in the Jim Burt mold
Round Seven-Andreas Knappe-OT-UConn or Kyle Sloter-QB-Northern Colorado...If they go LB in round 5, they get the best arm left on the board & folks, Sloter is the real deal. Still, even if they get OL help early, the upside that Knappe offers is very interesting.
I agree, and definitely see the thinking that Bolles may be off the board at #23. My hope is 3 QBs go prior the Giants as well as Fournette, Cook (Philly or Tampa), and McCaffrey go prior to our pick as well. If that happens, the Giants will have a some pretty great talent at their spot to pick from. The OTs are now getting crazy money in free agency, so it just makes too much sense to try to get young, cost-controlled ones early in the draft, so hoping the Giants do that, even if it's a guy who's not projected to start right away.
Foreman would be great.
Dave, when you say Albany State do you mean Albany, NY?
Thanks for all your input on BBI!!!

LOL, they have him listed as "Defensive Back". I'd like to see the rest of their DB's, if that's the case!
As for RB I think Perrine would my pick.
And for RD would be more than happy w Lamp. There's not enough talent on the OL and Pugh being re-signed is not a sure thing IMO. They really need two starters out of his draft. Maybe not. This year but the OL is thinner than an thin in overall talent. Need to up that talent level
Then again, I'm not a scout.
Good to have you back Dave Te.
What is your opinion about Hodges playing big? What I mean by that is that Marshall is not just a big receiver but he out muscles and attacks the ball so he plays big. I see Hodges let a lot of balls get into his body which negates his size. That is why I like Engram because he attacks the ball up high.
You know, even if I took Engram, if I came back in Round 4 or 5 & Hodges was there, I'd double up, using one in the slot & put Hodges on a student-teacher thing behind Marshall. The bad thing with Marshall? Locker room, of course, but I would really like to see Shepherd get an outside position
Then again, I'm not a scout.

I dont th8nk we need a T THIS year. Flowers deserves another year at LT given his age and what we invested him him. Period. That and honestly, he has not proven out right that that he is incapable of playing the position. He has flashed.
Now, a kick ass mobile G like Snee or Zach Martin at 23 sounds much more valuable to me than a LT which forces us to move Flowers to learn a new position. You improve the interior and hope that Flowers as well as Fluker play better than they have in recent years. That wpuld give us a pretty young and tough line of athletes and we can address LT next year or later in the draft.
It makes way too much sense for us not to take him...if hes there. However Engram has grown on me considerably. I would love either at 23
Obviously, you know way more than me with these players but I feel like the Giants are starting to drift away from these projects. Their drafts have been better lately. I get the upside with Hodges. Not many people on earth have his size and athleticism. Still, when I played and coached I always said this about receivers (and I guess it goes for a player like Hodges too), "Is he a wide receiver playing football or is he a player trying to play wide receiver?" Hodges just doesn't seem natural doing it. Now, I get that he was a former QB and he is still learning the position but for that reason alone I wonder if that drops Hodges down on the Giants board because they have had more success with non-project players of late especially when Mara came out a couple of years ago and stated that we need to draft better. Our FA additions have been probably unprecedented with not just the amount we have spent but also with the amount of success we have had from them. Still, our draft picks have been much better lately which has helped us have a quick turnaround under McAdoo. Thanks again.
Would be thrilled to not have to address RB until Rd 4, and still get Foreman.
It is interesting to hear what an informed person would do if they were in the GM's position vs an informed person would believe that a GM would actually do. The latter tend to be the draft 'predictors'.
If he's the best OL at 23 I'd rather draft another position.
