Anybody else been watching this show? My girlfriend and I love it, it's the first NBC comedy since Parks & Rec went off air that's held our attention. The last two episodes of Season 1 air tonight.
I don't think there's been an announcement about Season 2 yet, but back in January
it was reported that each season would focus on a different trial set in the same town (and I hope with the same characters).
Murder board! Murder board! Murder board!
Thank goodness someone has finally given a voice to those with facial amnesia.
I actually didn't get the Aubrey Plaza vibe, but I can see that a little. And I'm a big fan of the lead, especially knowing that he played Jan's assistant Hunter on the Office.
If they do continue with a different trial, I'm going to miss Lithgow's character, he's a riot.
'Boy am I glad she's not alive to see this'

I'm hopeful they'll keep Lithgow around, but we'll see what happens after tonight's episodes!
My only issue with it is that Dwayne Reed and Sherri Sheppard's characters are just so absurd that I'm not sure the show can survive multiple seasons without them being fleshed out better. That said, both of them make me laugh. The same can be said for Lithgow, a total pro whose character is a bit too far-fetched.
The scene last week where Sheppard repeats back in the courtroom all of the expletives killed me.

Haha, well yeah, I think they're supposed to be a bit over the top much like many of the Parks & Rec and Office characters.
That scene had me in tears
It's worth noting that the first seasons of both The Office and Parks and Rec had their issues as well (particularly Parks and Rec) so I will give them plenty of rope to figure it out.
I would imagine people from the deep South find it tremendously offensive.

Hah, no more offensive than a Northeasterner would, I'd hope
But, yeah, Sheppard has been consistently great.
