Isco in for Bale is a good change for Real. They'll be essentially a 4-3-1-2 with Isco working in between the lines. He's already created a turnover and a half chance in that role. Gonna be tough to keep Real scoreless here.
And as I type that Isco draws a foul on the edge of the area.
A 2-1 Bayern win forces extra time, a 3-2 or 4-3 Bayern win means they win by away goals. Long, long way from that though. A 1-0 Bayern win and Real wins on away goals
Leicester have actually looked a lot better this game vs the one in
Madrid, even registering shots on goal! Nevertheless, its going to take a magical 2nd half to come back and score 3. I haven't really been wowed by Atletico, but I guess that's the way it goes with them, brutally efficient and get the job done. At this point they don't need to attack so I expect more frustration trying to break down a 10 man defense, along with standard time wasting, 'injuries' etc.
Thomas Muller forces some pressure and Sergio Ramos kicked it into his own net! Tied on aggregate and it's going to extra time if nobody scores from here
Bayern have been very close with some long balls, where Boateng excels in delivering the ball long. Robben is an uber threat in this situation; Spain's national team has been victimized by this in 2010 and again in 2014. Got to be careful here even a man up.
They put up a spirited fight but no Premier League team in the semis this year. Real and Bayern to extra time, which Bayern has to survive playing with 10 men
We know, Terps is making the argument that it's unfair to count the extra time as time where an away goal can be scored because it gives the away team more time to score in the second leg
To be fair he should have been sent off like 20-25 minutes prior to that for a foul on Casemiro just outside the box. The refs were not good in this game at all. Missed a Ronaldo offside. Missed a Boateng penalty in the box.
RE: Question is how many Bayern players chase the ref
Should be none. They got away with quite a few missed calls as did Madrid. Madrid should have played for a good half an hour up a man. Bad officiating overall. Two very entertaining games though. Definitely wasn't expecting Madrid to win back to back Champions League trophies so I'm not even getting angry with these games. Basically playing with house money.
Atletico or Juventus. Godin, Bonucci, and Chiellini are among the very best defenders in the world. Buffon and Oblak two of the best keepers. And all of those guys have played about a million huge matches.
I'm hoping Atletico and Real Madrid are paired up in the semifinals. Besides being a fascinating matchup, I also think it's the most likely way to get Real eliminated.

Leicester now need 3 goals

Advantage Bayern now, if they score 1 Real has to score 2
Especially when the ref could have easily sent Casemiro off

So agreed, it's a bit odd, but a small advantage to play the 2nd leg away, as there is no chance for extra time in the 1st leg.
I'm throwing in with Dortmund and the American Messi the rest of the way.
Ronaldo is just a clinical finisher though. Can't deny it

I don't see that happening. I don't think they have the firepower.
You're right, the striker and right back are as good as gone in June.
