saw these on facebook, terrific. Reminds me of my pal Elvis who passed away October of 2015. Miss him like crazy but he lived a great life and passed at 15 years old
We also have a rescue dog named Boomer. That was his name when we adopted.
Our oldest dog was at the point where they were going to put him to sleep when we rescued him. He was four at the time and he's been the best dog a person could want. He's 14 now and I know he's near the end of his life cycle. It'll be a sad day at our house when he goes.

Boomer was his name as well so no use changing it now. I really hope to have 4 good years with him. He is in excellent shape per the vet at his last checkup.
as we have three rescues. It's strange at first, but after time you'll get a serious bond going. Then, you will want to get him a younger friend that will first piss him off, then will have as a great friend.
Some border collie (or similar herder) in the mix, maybe? Here's wishing you years of health and happiness together. And blessings on your head for a wonderful deed.

Good for you and awesome looking dog! Glad to hear you took the pup rather than him being put down.
