..off-camera, and does a lot of research for Cowher and the other guys every week. When Phil comes on Sirius it sounds like the same conversations PK talks about that happen during games in the green room on Sundays. Not sensational, just gameplans, personnel and Xs-and-Os.

Phil fits right in with that crew and he's already pretty tight with Boomer and PK.

I'm glad Phil will no longer be handcuffed by some twitteriffic producer in the truck who 'knows' the public doesn't want Xs and Os.

So it's not as tho he has big shoes to fill (no pun). Outside of billy packer I. Any recall a worse A team than Simms. Loved him as a player but as an announcer he was brutal.
