one of the few that I actually sat there and binge watched over the course of a few days. The actors for Clay and Hannah really helped to make the show but they're all good. Yeah, it's kind of dark but it should be. I think it'll practically be required viewing in high school classes soon.
Apparently, they were given a list of things to avoid showing because they were considered triggers that could push a troubled individual toward suicide. Instead of avoiding those triggers, the filmmakers chose to INCLUDE every one of them.
So no, I don't see it being a required viewing in high school classes.
Kids at that are so impressionable so it's always a risk in addressing the matter. Still, the big themes of social interactions, rape and suicide should be discussed. Those kids were really up against some lousy circumstances.
