La Canfora: Giants keeping tabs on Peterson and Blount

jeff57 : 4/20/2017 12:03 pm
Not much movement in RB market, but NYG are among teams keeping close tabs on Peterson and Blount seeing if their $$ comes down before draft

Here we go again

Alright, I mean it couldn't hurt. Just doing our due diligence
Post draft

Pickups. Their money will be way down.
If it's between the two of them

Give me Blount. Less mileage on his body and is a good short yardage\goal line RB to compliment Paul Perkins and Shane Vereen.
If we added AP...

I'd imagine every team

in the league is "keeping tabs" on these two guys. Why wouldn't they? Silliness from the media again trying to get clicks and retwatted again or whatever.
Ughh for Peterson, fuck him

Blount is interesting because he wouldn't take away from Perkins carries like AP would. My biggest beef last year was keeping the plodding Jennings in so much but if they only give 5-7 carries a game to Blount i'm good with it.

Nothing new here. So a team with a question mark at RB that got rid of their previous starter is keeping tabs on the free agent RB market? What a piece of information, I cannot believe he knows that.
I still think Blount would be a nice fit here.

Peterson 'willing to play for $5 million or less' in right situation

Been saying this

Since day 1 on AP. Big time interest between the 2.
Keeping tabs?
Milton : 4/20/2017 1:40 pm : link
What the hell does that even mean? They're keeping tabs on everyone! So is every other team. This is just click-bait.

You've been saying it and I ain't been buying it.
Has Petershit met with anyone?
Milton : 4/20/2017 1:44 pm : link
Has there been a single team that has publicly expressed interest or made him a contract offer?

He has met with Saints and Pats I believe.
Blount I could understand.

Peterson makes absolutely no sense to me, not with the type of offense we run.
Still don't get the interest in AP
giants#1 : 4/20/2017 2:23 pm : link
and I'm a big fan of AP (on the field). Unless they are planning to make some major offensive changes scheme-wise, he seems like an awful fit (then again, so does Ellison). He's much better with the QB under center, can't catch, and is poor in pass protection (I guess he fits in with the Giants OL there...).

I guess, maybe they plan to use more 2 TE sets with Eli under center. Play action with AP and Beckham would be deadly though. Would also be the first time in a while that AP didn't have to face 8+ man fronts on nearly every down.
In other words, if they drop their asking price

we're interested.
Why the hell
ArcadeSlumlord : 4/20/2017 4:50 pm : link

It should be a five year contract so that they can more easily spread out the $30M signing bonus!
