So they didnt give us back to back west coast games?
Washington is in same boat. Not like you have a hard travel day to play Philly. The week before Philly you are at home. Philly won't be coming out of a bye either.
Christmas Eve in Arizona sucks so bad. The earliest it can be is 4:25pm because it's on the West Coast. So it will be right smack dab in the middle of my family's Christmas eve. And if the NYE game means something, you know it's gonna be flexed to NYE night.
will come after 3 weeks at home (including a bye).
That start on the road is going to be tough in the first month. If they can split that first 4, I think they could be in good shape to make up ground in the middle of the schedule (playing KC and Seattle at home helps). And then go for the throat in December with all the division games at home. The goal has to be to win the NFC East and host a playoff game right now.

I have the same read. If they get to the bye at 4-3 or better I think they've done well and will have it in their hands.
as much as the travel is poor, there isn't a game on here that i said "that's a loss"...last year, I had at Pitt, at minnesota, at green bay, and at philly TNF as most likely losses. This schedule...I don't see any of those type games.

Agree as well. Beat the teams they'll be favored verses Detroit, Seattle, and the Chargers. Try and steal 2 on the road, which, aside from NYC south (Tampa) might be very difficult.
I see 4-3 or at worst 3-4 at the bye with them getting rolling after. This is not a schedule favorable for us NYG fans to think a 1 or 2 seed is likely. The AFC/NFC West combination makes those aspirations very unrealistic.

And, to clarify, this should be a playoff team. No question. They should be a better team than last year. I don't think that'll be reflective in the record vs this schedule though. If they can match the 11 they win last year (or somehow exceed it), good for them. I think 10 is more realistic.
road games. Denver, Oakland, SF (eh), and Arizona. Three of those teams have good chances to be playoff teams. Add in road games in Philly, Dallas and an improving Tampa Bay and that's 6 really tough games away from home. I'd be really happy with a 4-3 record out of those seven games.
KC, Seattle and Detroit aren't pushovers at home.
All in all, that's a really tough schedule.
as much as I don't like that they weren't able to schedule the W coast
trips on back to back weeks, I kind of like how the matchups play out here.
I LOVE that we don't have to play in Seattle, I think Detroit is a much better match up at home as opposed to away, KC is also a much better team at home so it's nice to not have to play there. SF should be garbage again so I don't think playing there is a big deal, and who the hell knows what kind of home advantage Oakland will have.
It's a tough schedule, but it was going to be regardless just based on the divisions we have to play this year, particularly the AFC W.

Von Miller coming off the edge against Flowers and Hart (or Fluker) does. I think a loss here is more likely than home vs Sea.

4 if you count Den: @Den, @SF, @Az, @Oak. At least the Oak game is on 10 days rest.
Dallas has a major advantage of the other NFC East teams when they play the AFC/NFC West teams, especially when they get them both the same season.

Sucks that at Arizona is on Christmas Eve. I might have considering going to that game.

What's brutal about it? The order in which they play the games? We already knew the opponents.
Eagles got it. Back to back games at Seattle and LA Rams.
