short weeks before our games @Philly and @ wash.
So much
ryanmkeane : 4/20/2017 1:08 pm : link
for that back to back west coast thing
At first glance..
ryanmkeane : 4/20/2017 1:08 pm : link
..seems much tougher than last year, especially the middle part
.
Danny Kanell : 4/20/2017 1:08 pm : link
At first glance, that's a brutal schedule.
So much for the team's request for back to back west coast games.

2 home games with the bye squeezed
ryanmkeane : 4/20/2017 1:09 pm : link
in between is really nice. That'll be a nice 3 week stretch with no travel
Three west coast trips

If true....I like it
AnnapolisMike : 4/20/2017 1:10 pm : link
Get some road game out of the way early. Finish up with home divisional games. Start strong and you have a leg up in the division and conference.
4 of the first 6 on the road

B2b WC games, and of course the league obliges, the opposition, w/ 4 separate trips.
And the schedule maker............!

Washington is in same boat. Not like you have a hard travel day to play Philly. The week before Philly you are at home. Philly won't be coming out of a bye either.
Well at least
Giant John : 4/20/2017 1:14 pm : link
We are not playing in MN once again.
That middle 6 stretch
ryanmkeane : 4/20/2017 1:16 pm : link
starting with Chargers at home and ending with KC at home could really make or break. 4-2 would be nice there.

Danny Kanell : 4/20/2017 1:16 pm : link
Christmas Eve in Arizona sucks so bad. The earliest it can be is 4:25pm because it's on the West Coast. So it will be right smack dab in the middle of my family's Christmas eve. And if the NYE game means something, you know it's gonna be flexed to NYE night.
At least the SF trip
Matt in SGS : 4/20/2017 1:19 pm : link
will come after 3 weeks at home (including a bye).

That start on the road is going to be tough in the first month. If they can split that first 4, I think they could be in good shape to make up ground in the middle of the schedule (playing KC and Seattle at home helps). And then go for the throat in December with all the division games at home. The goal has to be to win the NFC East and host a playoff game right now.
That's a brutal schedule, if accurate
The_Boss : 4/20/2017 1:19 pm : link
Absolutely no sympathy from the schedule makers. The first month looks especially rough with 2 divisional roadies.

4 if you count Den: @Den, @SF, @Az, @Oak. At least the Oak game is on 10 days rest.

Dallas has a major advantage of the other NFC East teams when they play the AFC/NFC West teams, especially when they get them both the same season.
And this will be Eli's likely last shot
Matt in SGS : 4/20/2017 1:21 pm : link
to beat the Chargers before he might retire or Rivers moves on. Need to take that one

I have the same read. If they get to the bye at 4-3 or better I think they've done well and will have it in their hands.
6-1 going into the bye..

7-2 after..
I will say..
ryanmkeane : 4/20/2017 1:27 pm : link
as much as the travel is poor, there isn't a game on here that i said "that's a loss"...last year, I had at Pitt, at minnesota, at green bay, and at philly TNF as most likely losses. This schedule...I don't see any of those type games.
If True
Trainmaster : 4/20/2017 1:29 pm : link
3 of last 4 at home. All divisional games.

Sucks that at Arizona is on Christmas Eve. I might have considering going to that game.

Agree as well. Beat the teams they'll be favored verses Detroit, Seattle, and the Chargers. Try and steal 2 on the road, which, aside from NYC south (Tampa) might be very difficult.
I LOVE

Dallas, Philly and Washington @ home in December.

That is where this Division can be won.

I see 4-3 or at worst 3-4 at the bye with them getting rolling after. This is not a schedule favorable for us NYG fans to think a 1 or 2 seed is likely. The AFC/NFC West combination makes those aspirations very unrealistic.
That doesn't seem legit to me

And, to clarify, this should be a playoff team. No question. They should be a better team than last year. I don't think that'll be reflective in the record vs this schedule though. If they can match the 11 they win last year (or somehow exceed it), good for them. I think 10 is more realistic.
Those are some tough
B in ALB : 4/20/2017 1:56 pm : link
road games. Denver, Oakland, SF (eh), and Arizona. Three of those teams have good chances to be playoff teams. Add in road games in Philly, Dallas and an improving Tampa Bay and that's 6 really tough games away from home. I'd be really happy with a 4-3 record out of those seven games.

KC, Seattle and Detroit aren't pushovers at home.

All in all, that's a really tough schedule.
as much as I don't like that they weren't able to schedule the W coast
TheMcThrill : 4/20/2017 1:57 pm : link
trips on back to back weeks, I kind of like how the matchups play out here.

I LOVE that we don't have to play in Seattle, I think Detroit is a much better match up at home as opposed to away, KC is also a much better team at home so it's nice to not have to play there. SF should be garbage again so I don't think playing there is a big deal, and who the hell knows what kind of home advantage Oakland will have.

It's a tough schedule, but it was going to be regardless just based on the divisions we have to play this year, particularly the AFC W.

I really like that we have Seattle, Detroit, and KC at home though.
I think we can go
LCtheINTMachine : 4/20/2017 2:05 pm : link
12-4 with this schedule. That should be enough to win the East.

Yes, the Eagles last year in Philly.

Week 14- Washington (loss)
Week 16- Giants (Win)
Week 17- Cowboys (Win)

mitch300 : 4/20/2017 2:19 pm : link

If the Giants go 4-3 before the bye

then someone important got hurt. We will have an elite defense and those are all winnable games. 5-2 at least.

Von Miller coming off the edge against Flowers and Hart (or Fluker) does. I think a loss here is more likely than home vs Sea.
