I think Dallas takes a big step back this year with losing 2 OL and all the changes on defense. It would be nice to start the year 1-0 amd ome game up on the Boys.
Good early test to make sure the D is as good if not better than they were last year. Stop Elliott and make Prescott beat you. Thats a winning recipe for the Giants. Add in an offense that can move the ball and score. Could be a great year for the G Men.
I'm convinced I'll never see a Giants home game in Week 1
In my lifetime again unless we win it all. Outside of our opener in 12 vs. Dallas (shocking), I think the last time we opened up at home was in 2010 vs. Carolina.
at this point...I mean, even if we're stuck w/Dallas every opening week, can't we get a home game every now and then? It's like Jerry's still pissed about Eli signing his stadium (and I'm sure his pull behind the scenes has at least a little to do with this game every year).
I actually think it could be advantageous this year. We're returning a good portion of our starters and system/coaches. While Dallas is also, they had a lot more turnover, especially on D. And even on O, they're counting big on two 2nd year players. Hopefully a year of film on Dak reveals some weaknesses, and we get a shot at Dallas (hopefully) fairly injury free and maybe before they've had time to get all the new pieces integrated into D and work out who are their best options in the secondary. It could end up being an advantage, and help snag a tough division win on the road (it did last year). It's a tough run to start w/several division games, but we may be the most 'settled' team from year to year (both Phi and Dal have young QBs, Phi is clearly trying to build up receiver talent and has secondary issues like Dallas, and Was has D issues and the whole Cousins drama). Maybe that helps through the early run, and hopefully one (or more) of the other East teams has a bad run and maybe crashes and burns...
The league office hates Jerry Jones. Realizing that the Giants were the only team to play & beat the Cows (13-3) twice last year, it is the best insurance plan to hobble Dallas right out of the gate.
Kick JJ in his ass when his pants are just pulled down. Rub the Cow's noses in shit right from the get go and watch them melt down slowly as they slide into a hell from which there is no return.
I'd rather have a home heavy schedule late in the season than early. And I'd certainly rather host Dallas late than early. (Plus, since I hate home night games, I'd always rather have a scheduled night game on the road than here).
2 in 8 years...UFB.
From the Giants perspective, I'd rather the home division games in December.

Super. How about letting the Giants get the home opener...

can you blame the NFL? Every opener in Dallas has been drama filled and right down to the wire.

Again, a home opener is nice. But I'd rather get the home game in December.
