I feel like women go nuts for gifted musicians and comedians and most ugly men in those two categories can bag more women than most other better looking guys of other categories.
So you started a thread about someone who died a year ago...
From a woman's perspective, I did not find Prince attractive or sexy but he did have a certain je ne sais quoi about him so I'm not surprised that others did. I did enjoy his music, though, and awesome music makers do have a history of attracting people.
Thanks for the reminder. I am now going to go find and view his "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" performance, which blew my mind the first time I saw it, especially since that is my favorite Beatles song of all time.

There is something to be said in that talent in entertaining others (musician, comedian) can enhance a person's attractiveness, especially from the personality standpoint. That said, I would never find myself in bed with Patton Oswalt, though I do enjoy his work as an entertainer.

No I respect his talent and his contributions to world.
The man was good looking. Even as a very straight, heterosexual man I can admit that. If he's not your type... that's understandable too.
Speaking of Eddie Murphy, even in one of his acts (I can't remember if it was Delirious or Raw) he make a joke about his eyes and how he was told by someone to not look him in the eyes or else Prince will get him in bed or something like that. There are a lot of artist you could ask this question about and I'd be with you 100% (Lil Wayne comes to mind)... but sorry, I don't understand how you can think that Prince wasn't an attractive dude.
released on YouTube since he's died that expand upon the "Holy shit, he really is one of the greatest guitarists ever" argument.
Prince blues jam - ( New Window )
I remember being about 13 years old and my cousin, who I looked up to and who went on to become a successful touring musician (read: hasn't had to have a "day job" for about 10 years), told me Prince was one of the greatest guitar players around and I laughed my young, ignorant ass off. He proceeded to educate me accordingly. The guy really is nothing short of a national treasure.

His solo at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is one of the best guitar solos I've ever heard.
I think the only female rocker who he didn't score with, but wanted to, was Susanna Hoffs.

Whoa, that was awesome. I already knew what an incredible guitarist he was, but this really helped seal the deal. Very cool. Thank you for sharing.
If I was to take a guess; I would say that music evokes emotions and some people who crave feelings conflate what they feel with an intimate and attractive connection to the one who makes them feel.
The other possible cause is competitiveness with other women for a prize ( Pamela des Barres and several others) .
The third possibility is that guys who make their own way in any field are an odd combination of tough and defiant and self made and scared their luck will end. ( Keith...did you like any of your other jobs before the Stones. Answer: I never worked for anyone else and never would. I am my own man and only do what I want to do).
lastly, being a rich musicians woman means you never have to work and only hang out with other people hanging out. Not a bad gig for a couple of years for some. I find the social strains of being with bored people is hard work but some find a home in drama.
"Because Mick Jagger is an ugly mother fucker!"

BTW, Apollonia was so damn hot.

Lol!
Maybe a little over a year ago. If he looked at me now I'd haul ass.
